a big help for video exercisers...

  • This was mentioned on an exercise board I'm on, and it really helps:

At Kmart in the sporting goods department, they sell what is called "puzzle mats"-they are interlocking square pieces of foam type (I don't know what you'd call it) mats to do aerobic/stretching exercises on. I just started using them, and what a difference! My knees and back feel so much better, and I'll be able to do pivot turns, which I couldn't before, cause I was working out on a berber carpet. I just put these over the carpet. They also have them in BJ's, Sam's and Home Depot, but they go by different names in different stores.

  • Really! I've seen these mats for sale but I thought they were mostly for kids. I do have some heavy duty ones, or something similar, under the weight bench. But I never thought to get a set for aerobics. You're right, I just can't pivot on the carpeting. I've pretty much given up the Latin Cardio tape, though it is a lot of fun. Thanks for the tip! I'll see if I can get some.
