This was mentioned on an exercise board I'm on, and it really helps:

At Kmart in the sporting goods department, they sell what is called "puzzle mats"-they are interlocking square pieces of foam type (I don't know what you'd call it) mats to do aerobic/stretching exercises on. I just started using them, and what a difference! My knees and back feel so much better, and I'll be able to do pivot turns, which I couldn't before, cause I was working out on a berber carpet. I just put these over the carpet. They also have them in BJ's, Sam's and Home Depot, but they go by different names in different stores.

Really! I've seen these mats for sale but I thought they were mostly for kids. I do have some heavy duty ones, or something similar, under the weight bench. But I never thought to get a set for aerobics. You're right, I just can't pivot on the carpeting. I've pretty much given up the Latin Cardio tape, though it is a lot of fun. Thanks for the tip! I'll see if I can get some.
