Is your ticker accurate???

Mine isn't. I haven't updated it in about a month. I'll update tomorrow when I restart my weight loss commitment.

So lets be honest, is your ticker accurate???

VioletDolphin83 08-31-2013 09:05 PM

I've lost more than what my ticker says. I intend to update it every month or so. Too much hassle to update it for every kg that I lose.

Lyn2007 08-31-2013 09:11 PM

No, not accurate, I haven't weighed in almost 3 months but am going to weigh tomorrow and will update the ticker. Although I highly doubt it will vary either direction by more than 5 pounds, as my clothing fits about the same as it used to.

Em Coconut 08-31-2013 09:13 PM

Not at the moment, but not very far from it... I think, not completely sure. Gonna make it accurate without changing it in short time I hope

lanabug 08-31-2013 09:16 PM

I'm not able to have one in my signature yet, but I've made one and I use it. I love updating it every week after I weigh in, it's usually the first thing I do after I step on the scale. When I can have it here, it will still be accurate.. whether I'm proud of my loss or less than proud of a gain, it will hold me accountable.

Mine is accurate every Monday, which is when I update it. Right now, it slightly overstates my weight.

Daimere 08-31-2013 09:38 PM

I just updated mine.

merilung 08-31-2013 09:41 PM

Mine is newly updated, and was only off by 2 pounds before I updated it. I was originally updating it EVERY DAY, but now I try to update once a week.

mygirlvj 08-31-2013 10:04 PM

Mine is usually within 2-3 pounds of actual weight.

zoesmom 08-31-2013 10:06 PM

Nope...well...probably not. I've refused to look at it this month. I had planned on looking again tomorrow and properly updating then, so this thread came at the right time. thanks! :D

time2lose 08-31-2013 10:47 PM

Mine is up-to-date. When losing, I update my often, when gaining................

susyquk 09-01-2013 12:19 AM

Yes... I update after weigh ins on Wednesday and Saturday

Elladorine 09-01-2013 12:27 AM

I update it weekly at the only time I weigh in these days, so unfortunately . . . yes. :p It's rising more quickly than I would like it to in the past month or so. I can't complain as I'm still in a healthy range for the pregnancy, but I can't keep this rate up on through December or I'll go well beyond it! :o

SuperHeroTeacher 09-01-2013 12:41 AM

My tickers are almost always current and accurate. The only exception being, I don't adjust the daily ticker up. It stays low until I get down there again. Today is the lowest I've achieved.

betsy2013 09-01-2013 08:28 AM

Nope -- not right now. I gained almost 15 pounds back within a span of 2 weeks. Now I'm fighting to get it back off. But my ticker reflects where I was before the backslide. I didn't change it for fear that it would be the start of "accepting" that I'd never be able to lose and keep it off. It's staring me in the face every time I post.

However, when I do lose, I update it immediately! :D

susiemartin 09-01-2013 08:50 AM

Yep!

wannaskipandlaugh 09-01-2013 11:12 AM

I leave my ticker at the lowest I have been, but change my profile no daily (when I have a moment)... I like seeing the ticker show what I have accomplished as weight changes daily and sometimes hourly ! LOL

Mozzy 09-01-2013 11:15 AM

It's accurate now, plus I lost a cow :(:(:(

Cow is just wandering in the trees and will come back to the herd shortly! :)

Lyn2007 09-01-2013 12:34 PM

Updated... now accurate.

Only Believe 09-01-2013 01:49 PM

mine is accurate today and when I have a loss I go edit it and my profile weight first thing, but I admit when I see the numbers go up I won't change my ticker till I have another loss. LOL

AllyG47 09-01-2013 02:05 PM

I weigh in every day but I only update my ticker, my profile/signature and the challenge threads every Monday, right after my official weekly weigh-in, so, yes, my ticker is accurate.

sluggerbean 09-01-2013 05:22 PM

No, it's not accurate or up-to-date. I won't change it until I get back to that amount again. I will make the most of these last 4 months of 2013!!

Hopegrowsagain 09-01-2013 07:00 PM

Yep, mine is good. I make aspecial trip trip to the library to update when I lose a pound!!

HelloNurse 09-01-2013 07:06 PM

Mine is accurate every Sunday, or when I hit a mini-goal. I have had to change it sometimes when I've gained, but if I can't be honest with it then what's the point of doing it?

kaplods 09-01-2013 07:44 PM

Mine's pretty close. I don't update during tom though, because it drives me crazy. Usually I update losses immediately, and gains I give a bit more leeway.

This :)

But right now it is accurate; I am trying to stay accountable. I have gained 10 pounds in a matter of just a few short months and updating that ticker was painful.

I think that is many of us :) I went on predisone and my whoosh went bye-bye as the steroids kicked in :( But...SLOWLY coming back down again. I made a deal with myself to update it today, and when I did, I was pleasantly surprised to see it was only 3-1/2 pounds up...coulda been worse :)

Ticker is up to date as of today :D

Slimjem 09-02-2013 11:39 AM

Thanks for the push. My ticker is now up to date and goal weight also updated. :flow2:

mccull83 09-02-2013 07:06 PM

Yep, up to date. I LOVE updating it every week/when I see big changes. I got "off track" for a couple months earlier this year and when I came back to 3FC I didn't increase the weight, I just waited until I got back down to my tracker weight and was excited to finally be able to change it again.

AwShucks 09-03-2013 06:53 PM

I've been within 3 lbs on either side of my ticker for the last 6 months or so. I loved updating when the scale was headed downward regularly! I just kind of feel I'm in limbo right now. The last time I lost a lot of weight, I kind of stopped at this weight before heading back up in a regain. Surely this is not all there is for me! I just need to buckle down and get moving in the right direction again.

GirlyGirlSebas 09-04-2013 09:17 AM

No. It's not. I need to be brave and go get on the scales now. I've been avoiding them for the last few weeks.

Dreamer2012 09-04-2013 09:38 AM

It wasn't accurate until this morning when I got back to 138 once again. Yay! :carrot: For a month or t2o, I was going up and down between 138 and mid 140s

ChickieBoom 09-04-2013 10:18 AM

When I started this journey, I was using an analog scale that was about 7-8 pounds lighter than every other scale I weighed myself on. I was pretty deep into my weight loss before I noticed and didn't want to start new with a new scale. I finally bought a digital scale a couple of weeks ago that seems very accurate. So...I'm going to update my current weight but keep my starting weight the same even though I'm certain I weighed 8 pounds more than the weight that's listed.

puff0518 09-12-2013 11:22 AM

I haven't updated mine in quite a while, and just checked it. Yup. I'm at another plateau, and the weight is the same within a half-pound. That is how my weight loss goes, though. Stay at one weight for some time, then a WHOOSH!!! Drop down to another level and stay there for a while.

Garnet2727 09-12-2013 12:43 PM

Nope. I used to be really meticulous when I was consistently dropping weight. Since I've been losing and gaining the same freaking 5 pounds for 5 months now, I just quit updating the thing.

ETA: OK, this is funny. I haven't updated my ticker in quite a while but it is accurate today. LOL!

EagleRiverDee 09-12-2013 08:25 PM

Nope. I've gained 14 lbs. *Sigh* I refuse to change my ticker because it feels like I'd be saying I'm keeping the weight. I've recommitted to the diet and exercise that achieved the weight loss in the first place, and plan to lose it again soon.

betsy2013 09-13-2013 10:23 AM

Update: Got to change it this morning for the first time in a couple of months. I happened to wake up at 4 AM to go to the bathroom and stepped on the scale. I was so excited I couldn't get back to sleep and came in here and started the computer stuff for the day including updating my ticker!

Nagazim 09-13-2013 03:49 PM

Yes, I update it daily.
