@Ophelia - my $.02 is don't let weight loss become the "be all end all" you know that exercise is healthy so don't worry about the stall. Just keep getting healthier, even if you don't lose weight for a month, who cares? If you're getting healthier overall that's the real ticket! The weight will come off.

I'm down only by a pound this week. Which is negligible given that it can be due to water weight or general fluctuations. -_- I'll just have to make more of an effort. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to fit in exercise? I work as an Auxiliary Nurse at a Geriatric Care Center. 8 hours a day 5 days a week. When I get home I'm terribly exhausted so I find it difficult to work out. I walk to and from work a few times a week, whenever I can't find someone to give me a lift. I don't know how far away from work I am in terms of distance; I do know that it takes me about an hour to get home at a steady pace. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. :) |

Astoria- Honestly, your walking already sounds like a great thing right now for few times a week! You can use google maps to enter your address, click on directions then enter the address of your work to calculate the distance. As for more exercise, there are many free videos online that go for up to 30 minutes so you can look and see what you would like to try. HTH! |

Thank you Amandie. :hug: I calculated the distance and it comes out to 1.819 miles one way. So it's a little over 3 miles whenever I do walk to and from work. That's always good. :D I've already found a few workouts I like. I'll be giving them a try. Again, thank you! |

My own weigh-in for the week is 259.2. Which is only a 1.8lb loss, so...not stellar, but I guess it actually isn't that bad considering I binged a little on Easter this week and had a gain to contend with along with the muscle building from the 30DS. I expect next week's weigh-in to be much better without a holiday thrown in this coming week, haha. I am still 166 today, same as last week. I know I did not eat or drink enough to maintain so I have a feeling this may be some sort of water weight, at least I hope! LOL. Don't forget to edit your posts for your WIs and I hope everyone had a good weekend! |
I posted in another thread/support group that I frequent to and decided I will share this here too since I really need the accountability! I am doing fine on the food part, I just want to start working out again because I knew I felt GOOD. When I first started, I would not miss a workout for any reason, even tell my friends/family that I cannot meet up with them unless I do my workout first, etcetc. I stopped working out regularly over a year ago due to an injury and have been using that excuse ever since so it's time to start up again! Tonight, I did 30 minutes on the elliptical trainer. Yay! :carrot:
So here is my plan for this week- Sun/Mon/Tues- elliptical trainer, Wed/Friday- lifting and have Thurs/Sat off. If any of you happen to be around, please ask me if I worked out that day. (edited workout days according to my schedule.) Have a great evening, everyone! |
My weigh-in for the week is 255.8, which is a loss of 3.4 lbs this time. Much better than last week, thankfully. I hope this coming week will be as kind to me! :crossed:

I am still plugging away, working out and enjoying the weather (well, now it's cold, haha!!) I have worked out Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday with the elliptical trainers and Wednesday was lifting- man, that was horrible, LOL. I am still sore from the squats and I honestly don't think I had proper form for some of them. I think I may do the 30 Day Shred for a long while in place of lifting/strength training, this way I'll be more "prepared" when I go back to lifting.
Ok, so I think I may have figured out why I have not been losing for a while now. I am on Weight Watchers (on my own with a free phone app, no meetings, e-tools nor online, etc) and apparently I was eating 2 points over my daily points allowance along with most of my weeklies. Oops!!! The phone and I forgot that your DPA changes as you lose and for some reason, the app did not reflect that going from 180 to 166! Grr. At least I figured it out NOW and can move forward because I was going a little crazy, wondering why I wasn't losing when I thought I was doing everything right. I should see some losses happening in the next week or two now that I'm working out consistently. Have a great OP weekend, y'all!!! |
I posted in a couple other threads but want to mark here as well that I broke out of the 300's today and am even more energized to make 275 by the end of June. Gotta get crackin on that goal and not slack off!

Still maintaining 166 so far. I am more proud of myself for being consistent with the workouts and on the eating/drinking part too (well, mostly! thank goodness for weekly points, lol.) I have decided to hold off on the lifting for now because I play in 2 dart leagues currently (less than a month to finish for both) and could barely throw! My game was totally off, lol. |
I'm not doing so great right now, weighed 171. Buckling down now, I really want to make goal! Hope everyone else is doing better than I am!

April has been pretty slow. I just hope I'm down 5lbs for the month by the last day! I might be lucky to break even, lol.

Summer Hiking!
Rodeogirl: I'm gearing up for summer hiking too. Doing some long walks the past few weeks, and found a gravel road trail in the forest to practice on. Not quite a mountainous trail, but it has a small hill at the end.

Had a gain to deal with from a festival this weekend, but came back down a little. Weigh-in for the week is 251.0, so that is just barely 2 lbs down. Little bummed that I seem to be slowing down, so I'll be hitting the gym again this week, I think. But, at least it's a loss! Trying to keep that in mind. Slow and steady wins the race, right? Ha.
