Default exercising after being sick..

Hi,

I had a virus over the weekend, and wasn't able to exercise. I thought I could go back to it this morning, but it's all I can do drag myself to work...

How long do you give yourself to recover before exercising again?

Thanks,
Sherry

I wish I could help. I find it very difficult to get back into the habit after being sick.

I wouldn't push it. I have a VERY bad habit of relapsing. You know, feeling fine and pushing myself back to work, back to the gym and suddenly two days later, I'm back in bed.

However, Denise is right that it can be hard to get back into the habit after being sick. If you're dragging yourself back to work today. I'd probably wait until next Monday to go back to working out.

Walking is harmless. I'd do that til I felt up to pumping iron or jumping around (aerobics, step class, etc)

After being sick isn't when I would push myself. If you feel up to it, I think walking is a great idea - if you don't - allow yourself some slack until you feel up to it!

feel better!!!
