Unhappy Peeps!! ~ I'm addicted!

Ok, so easter is coming and the stores are already filled to the brim with easter candy. I spy some peeps which are a newly found favorite, and I buy them. I carefully figure out that each peep is 32 calories and I vow that I will only eat them if they fit into my plan. Hmmm, if I only have 1/2 cup of rice, I can have 2 more peeps. I actually considered (for a moment) going over my calories and ruining my perfect month. After regaining my senses, I realized...I have issues. Peeps issues.

Am I alone??

Isn't amazing how addictive those things are?! Really, they're nothing but SUGAR...marshmallows are just corn syrup and the colored junk on the top is just pink (or yellow) sugar.

Maybe some visualization would help...every time you want to eat one of those things, picture yourself sitting on the floor with a spoon, eating out of a 5 lb. bag of sugar. Doesn't that sound gross? Doesn't it sound like it would make your teeth fall out and send you into a diabetic coma? Ugh.

I hate Peeps.

My parents used to buy them for me just to see what I would do with them. So, I invented Peeps Torture. Do you know with a little bit of water and a microwave, Peeps can grow into the size of a bowling ball? Did you know that I still have a perfectly formed 3 year old peep glued to my computer moniter and it shows NO SIGNS OF MOLD??? If that vision doesn't stop you from wanting to consume them, I don't know what will.

Aren't Peeps the cutest little sugar bombs ever??? If you're really interested, there is an official Peeps Website!

www.marshmallowpeeps.com

Maybe you could find info there about Peeps addiction?

Hello Everyone!

The peeps don't call to me ~ for me it is those blasted Cadbury cream eggs. There is one good thing about those, they are not available all year round ~ only at easter time.

If we're talking "limited time only"/ seasonal candy. I LOVE mint M&M's , only available during December. And this december I couldn't even find them!! I once ate a 2 pound bag of them by myself.

Sandi, boy I can relate. Those little yellow chicks are my absolute favorite Easter candy!!! I even noticed some around Christmas shaped like Snowmen. (didn't buy any though )

Jessica, don't you know that the best way to eat a Peep is STALE!!!! If I get too desperate this year (I'm not going to buy any), I may be asking you to FedEx that sucker off your computer!

I made it through Christmas without very much candy, so now I just need to make it through Easter! It can be done!

Default peeps and other seasonal candy

I hate Peeps (sorry)

But what I LOVE are the Reeses Peanut Butter Easter eggs! I've got to stay out of the candy section...

Anyone else like those?

Peeps have to be the most repulsive thing ever invented (sorry )

Cadbury eggs on the other hand... pure heaven. They are already in all the gas stations, sitting right next to the cash register. It is PURE TORTURE every time I have to get gas. Good grief, I can't wait for this holiday to be over with!

Me! My favorite Easter Candy is the PB eggs. Peanut butter is my diet weakness food, and a big part of the reason I gained so much back after going off phentermine. Mmmm, peanut butter.

My other favorite is the Cadbury Mini-Eggs. Also, every Easter my aunt makes a cake in the shape of a lamb w/coconut sprinkled all over the frosting. And every year its head falls off.

I hate peeps. Although I have eaten peeps while drinking a Pepsi. Wooooooo!!!!!
