Great job, Freefall. You've just reinforced my theory that we have to think, eat, and act like "thin people." Whether we're trying to lose or maintain, we have to be able to live, too. You just proved once again, that we can live and enjoy life while staying healthy.
It's so overwhelming when we start to lose that nothing else seems to matter. There's a line in a U2 song that reminds me of how I felt last January. The song is on "No Line On The Horizon" and it's called "I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight." Everything seems SO HUGE as we start.
Every decision is a test, it seems, but sometimes we just have to let loose for a short while. As we go, we learn what choices are OK and which ones we should avoid the next time. Yyou just showed us all that a few extra calories are OK, especially when offset by exercise. Thin people do this all the time. Even gain a few pounds and take them back off IMMEDIATELY. That's the difference, and that's what I'm shooting for - now, and for the rest of my life. You just proved once again it's possible.
Here are the lyrics I mentioned. They sum it up pretty well, I think. We are ALL going to make it to the "light!" We just have to keep trying.
Lin
It's not a hill, it's a mountain as you start out the climb
Do you believe me or are you doubting?
Though we're gonna make it all the way to the light
But I know I'll go crazy if I don't go crazy tonight
