I have slipped a disc in my back "ouch" so have spent some time back and forth to the doctors. Whilst there the doctor asked me how I had managed to lose weight. She was very impressed and said I looked "wonderful" (NSV #1). I then said I had been experiencing some peri- menopausal symptoms and that I wanted my bloods checking. She agreed and took my blood pressure before taking blood- the results were 110/70 (NSV #2). Previously my BP was always high.
The results have since come back and the doctor told me to, and I quote "Open a bottle of champagne , because they were some of the best results she had seen" (NSV #3)
I have been seeing a physiotherapist for my back - he says I have amazing hipbones (NSV #4)
I knew my weight was lower, that my clothing was smaller- but it is a real boost to see that my weight loss has had a recognisable effect on my overall health.
If ever there was a reason to continue - this is it.
To anyone who has doubts, or who is wavering during the holiday season - keep this in mind- weight loss can truly have stunning results.

Thanks
I thought I ought to add, that at my highest weight I avoided doctors like the plague, as the tendency to blame even a cold on my weight, seemed just too tempting for the doctors here......
