Thanks Everyone, I appreciate the support.
I am not sure what happened to my motivation. It seems like right now I only see the trees and not the forest (if that makes any sense). For me, I just have to make myself do this. I know it isn't the best approach, but it is kind of like getting up at 5:00 to go to work....I don't want to do it, but I know if I don't do it one day, it will be easier to not do it the next day, etc., eventually the consequences catch up and no job (at least that is what I expect would happen).
So now, it will be get up at 4:00 for exercise. This will be the easy part. It's the food that will be my struggle. To start out, I will have to lay out some ground rules:
1) No eating at my desk (I start a new (same company different department) job on Monday, so that might be easy to do - no bad habit to break in that environment.
2) Only eat what I bring with me to work. One way to achieve this - don't carry cash. I have never used my debit card for really small purchases, and I don't think I would start doing that now.
3) Dinner....this is the tough one because there are other people involved. I will begin by planning to be successful one day at a time. It sounds like a bumper sticker, but this will be the best place for me to start.
In addition, I WILL be active in this forum. There is a lot of support and understanding here and that is crucial for success. I'm a person that has to immerse themselves in something to be successful when first starting out - after 47 years, I know this about myself. Once I get a taste of success, it all seems to fall into place.
Again, thanks for the welcomes and encouragement. At this point, I am just blathering so I will stop and go poking around the forum for more info and inspiration.
P_155 out.
