Default NSV - Ran My First 5K!

I'm really proud of myself. I ran my very first 5K in 41 minutes. My goal was just to finish, running or walking and my stretch goal was to run the whole way. I ran the whole, entire way, keeping a pretty slow pace the whole time. I'm really proud of myself and ready to sign up to run another one in August.

You can be really proud of this accomplishment! Even in my younger days I wasn't a runner, so anyone who runs really impresses me. I barely run in my cardio classes, so I feel like this is a big deal for you. Keep up the fantastic work.

I am impressed you ran the whole time! I hate hate hate to run but it's my goal to get better at it. Good for you, chica!

Congratulations! That's VERY impressive. I was all signed up for my first 5K, but have since been sidelined by a minor surgery and some healing - just finishing was always my goal, too.

Way to go on running the whole thing!

That's a great accomplishment, and you ran the whole way! I hope to do the same one day. how long did you train for this one?

That's a good question. I started with the C25K Podcasts last summer but I never made it past week one. In December I joined my gym where I do interval training, like 9 minutes with weights, 9 on the treadmill, etc. Eventually I started running on the Treadmill. Then this Spring I went back to doing C25K, but this time using an app. on my iPhone and my music. I'm actually only on week 5 but I have been working on running steadily since Dec. I hope that makes sense.
