saw Mom yesterday and had my hair colored at her senior apartment complex - she's moving slow and with a walker now. Grateful she is willing to use the walker... it was hard to see her that frail.

Today I am grateful for:
+ my Citizen of the Year Award - also feeling humble
+ surviving the presentation in the 95ºF heat
+ Indian cottons
+ the lavish bouquet that came with the award
+ having the financial means to be Sierra's fairy godmother
+ air conditioning and a serene house
+ my dear dogs who are always glad to see me come home
