  • Quote: Star your in Oregon too! Yay! What part?
Well, until two years ago I was in Portland, too! But then Happy Valley incorporated now I am in Happy Valley. Stupid suburbs.

Skinny: I hear the call of the Frisky Forties! They sing to me every time I look at that box of fudge in the fridge! They are louder than the fudge!

Today came in at 251.4! Sloooowly inching my way there. If it sticks, tomorrow my ticker will say I have lost ten pounds! Yay!
  • I had a wonderful day today. Drove from Sacramento to the bay area for my friend's baby shower. It was in this adorable little tea shop and they served this adorable lil' meal with tea and sweets. So sweet and fun! I made good choices but didn't stress about the numbers today. Just couldn't do it today because they've been driving me LOCO all week! Anyway, I feel better taking a day off from the counting and am looking forward to a new day. Down 0.2 this morning to 258.4.

Freefall -- YA FREAKING HOO!!! YOU FREAKING GO GIRL!!! And yes...lead this conga line outta here!

Skinny -- GREAT WI this morning girly! Staying OP over the weekend is difficult but you are a woman with a plan and that is HOT!! YAY for being down to 0.5. I am struggling but felt like I was stressing out too much over the crazy scale so I decided to just let it go. One day, eating when I'm hungry, drinking when I'm thirsty and NO COUNTING...just for one day. And regardless of what the scale says...I feel MUCH better!

Star -- Congrats on that loss! I know 250's going to pop her shy lil' head up soon! I'm hearing the call of those frisky forties too! I gotta get OUTTA here!!

ChunkySmoo -- Welcome and nice job!!

ErinMarie -- Welcome to the 250's. We're having a party here buts it's going to be a quick one...let's get moving right on outta here together!

Trish -- Nice dinner! Sounds yummy! Good luck on your WI tomorrow!!

Lindy -- Wow...what a rough day! I'm really glad to hear that your son is okay. As a mother of an accident (stupidity) prone son (i.e., broken bones, staples in his head), I FEEL YOUR PAIN! Tomorrow's a new day and you own it!

Dreamer -- HEY GIRLFRIEND! Hurry up and get your booty over here!
  • I am in the 250's at 255. Hope to be in the 240's next week!
  • 256.6 down 6 for the month so far! 240s here I come.
  • Jami- Your wish is my command. The scale said 259.9 this AM which means....

I AM OFFICALLY IN THE 250'S

Holy crow I have never been in the 250's in my adult life before....
  • Hello everyone! I finally made it to the 250s! So excited that the weight is finally coming off...slowly but surely!
  • 250.8 today! Almost at the Frisky Forties!!! I'll be out of town until Thursday and hope to return to you in the 240's! Have great losses while I'm gone everyone!!
  • I have been MIA from this board for a year now... thankfully I was able to slide my ticker down since my last visit. I am in the middle of the 250's right now. I really, really, really want to lose 10 pounds a month, but this month I only lost 5. Lots of traveling and eating out led to yoyo's on the scale. I have a couple more trips coming up in August also. But I remember in the past it helped to have a place to check in as often as possible, and this looked like a good place to do it.
  • Star- WTG!!! THAT IS AWESOME!!!

    Nori- welcome back!!!
  • Cinthia -- Welcome to the 250's!

Lindy - You're almost there! Woo hoo!

Dreamer -- YAHOO! I've been struggling myself so I'm happy to have more of my chica's here!

Mommy -- Welcome!! Slow and steady wins the race!

Star -- SO happy for you! Now you're leading the conga line outta here!

Nori -- Welcome back! You're going to be outta here in now time!
  • Jami- Glad to be here!!! I know you can do this...it's hard sometimes but guess what? We can get out of the 250's and conga into the 240's together!!!
  • ErinMarie: The 250's can be stubborn, it's true. But we are all going to power through them with a little help from our friends. What chance does a pound of fat have against this group of determined, steely-eyed, conga-dancing women? Clint Eastwood has nothing on us! "Tell me, Pound --- do you feel lucky?"

sevencallmemom: What a busy person you are! I think the pounds are going to run away from you from sheer exhaustion! LOL Your salad sounds pretty yummy, actually --- good work for staying on program no matter how many balls you are juggling. You are our poster lady for living life NOW like we would like to at goal. Doing all the things you talk about here AND having seven kids of your own? I am in awe!

Lindy: Oh man -- what a sucky few days, huh? I assume that you are not responsible for those charges on your credit card? And it sounds like your son is OK? Nothing like a few emergencies to test your mettle. But you are down 6 pounds this month, so obviously your mettle is just fine, thank you! Make sure your dancing shoes are shined and in good repair, because you are going to need them real soon for that dance on down to the Flirty Forties. Sorry life rained on you this week --- can I share my umbrella?

smsdreamer: YAY! You ditched the 260's and are joining us here if the Fabulous Fifties. I always thought the Sedentary Sixites were way too bland for you --- you will definitely fit in better here! And we can always use another sexy, sultry, femme fatale who specializes in fatale-ing fat away to help us bust on down to the Flamboyant Forties, so

StarGetsFit: I am not sure you will see this, 'cuz you might already be on your trip, but GOOD ON YOU for dodging that fudge! I have a particular weakness for the stuff myself, so I admire your take-no-prisoners hard line denial of it. And you are down 10 pounds to 250.8? WHOO-HOO! You will be in the Frolicsome Forties by the time you get home! Way to go! (And take me with you!!! lol)

JamiSue: Thank you for the kind words, m'dear --- it really helps to have such support. And hey, a day off from counting makes sense to me. Stress seems to be a really common way to add some pounds to your life, so de-stressing is as much part of a healthy way of life as reaching for an apple instead of the apple pie. We are all interested in the Whole Package here: eating tasty healthy food, finding fun ways to get more movement into our lives, drinking icy cold water, spending time with family and friends, laughing, loving, LIVING! And living WELL, dang it! We can do this, Jamie --- and we WILL do it. Better practice your cha-cha-cha, lady --- your time to conga across the 250 is coming.

Cinthia: Look! Another recruit for our platoon of life-loving, fat-kicking ladies. We are on a mission here, Cinthia, and I think you are on the same mission: get rid of the fat so there is more room for fun! I look forward to hearing more about your particular journey!

Nori71: Welcome back! Not just another no-nonsense fat fighter, but one with some positive experience under her ever-shrinking belt --- boy! can we use you around here! I think your committment to that 10 pounds a month goal is wonderful --- 5 pounds in a month is success, too! Good for you for staying on program and continuing that downward trend even through the chaos of travel -- you'll have to share your secrets!

Mommy1028: YESSSSS! Out of the See-ya-later Sixties and into the Fun-tastic Fifties! I think you are going to fit in here very well, indeed! And we need all the motivated, take-no-prisoners Fat Slayers we can get --- with your help it will be even easier to turn up our collective noses at unhealthy food and kick some more pounds of fat to the curb. So,

Still at 249.5, so maybe I have crossed the dreaded 250 boundary for real. Weighing in tomorrow will tell. I hope everyone does at least one fun thing this Sunday to end the weekend on a good note --- congratulations to us all for staying on-program over the weekend!
  • Skinny, your edit reason is cracking me up!

Couldn't face the scale this morning, but I have to tomorrow morning because it's the final weigh in of a challenge I've been doing since May 2nd on another board. A challenge that I appear to have won, btw, but I'm scared to death of posting a gain on the last day. I've stayed put before, but not gained.

    sigh.

    Welcome to the newbies!

Star! You are soooo close to leaving us! We can't wait to join you in the 240's!
  • Skinny- haha thanks for the welcome! Look at you though as soon as I get here you are leaving!!!! Ill have to have a month like I ha last month if I want a sandgrains chance of catching you LOL.
  • Wow SMS you are over halfway to your goal! That's awesome!
