Sophiyya - I had no plan for exercise. I felt I would need a magic wand at the end, so left the exercise til last week . i now do 2 personal training sessions per week to help tone and attack the last 14 lbs.

WOW!

First, what an amazing thing! One year of your life is ALL IT TOOK to turn it completely around. That's really nothing in the grand scheme of things. You should be totally proud how far you've come in such a short time and I know it makes me realize how just a "short" commitment can make a world of difference.

Second, the fact that you've done this without an exercise regiment is fantastic! Although I am an absolute believer in exercise, I think that food reform should always be first! When people say that obesity happens because people "don't get off the couch," I laugh because I am a fitness fanatic and still remain obese. So kudos to you for showing that concentrating on one area of your life and improving it worked for you.

So amazing Starbrite! I am also at the beginning of my journey and while you have found others inspiring to your efforts, I have found you inspiring to mine.

I've tried different things but always had a hard time relating/connecting to the group. With 3FC, it has helped so much to find others in a similar boat as me. Similar starting weight, similar end goals (Starbrite, ubergirl, Trazey34, ilbney). While each of us are different and may have different food issues, different successes and setbacks along the way - it is immensely to KNOW that others out there, in situations similar to mine, have made it to their goals.

Thank you Starbrite, and everyone else for being you!

I believe everything is possible, and that we have to push through the difficult times. I have spent the majority of my life grossly overweight and very unhappy because of it. I am only just beginning to realise that it truly does take strength, determination and a very strong character to lose a large amount of weight. It also takes a great deal of self belief, which is conflictual because many overweight people have very low self esteem. It's a fight, a battle with the food, yourself, and those who enable you. Stay strong, believe in whatever plan you decide on, because to be sure it has to suit you and your lifestyle, otherwise it will NEVER work. Good luck xx
