In a couple of hours, I'm heading out for a quick trip to Detroit to visit family. I'm determined to stay on plan while there...I've just managed to break the 50 pound barrier, enter Onederland, and see a number on the scale that I haven't seen since I was about 14. I'm taking some apples and beef jerky with me. I know that there will be at least one breakfast at Bob Evans, but I've checked out their online menu, and they actually have some healthy choices...it'll be hard to pass up biscuits with sausage gravy, but I will be strong Aside from that, I'm guessing a lunch at McDonalds (no problem, I'll have a salad with grilled chicken and one of my apples), and a family dinner (where I'll just watch portion sizes and probably stick with tea for dessert). There will be a couple other meals in there, but it's a short trip, so I'm hopeful that I wont do too much damage.

I'm also curious to see how the airplane seats fit at my current weight..the last time I flew, I was 50 pounds heaver

Planing is the key. Twice a year I take a trip to Las Vegas and my family and I all meet up there. It can be hard with the buffets but I know what I can eat and what I can't. I also get my exercise in by all the walking to and fro through the casinos and the strip. When I arrive home I am always pleasantly surprised I lost weight.
