Reset my ticker for the new year....

Well, it has been time for a while....

I had a small gain during November and it's still sticking around.... I've increased my workouts and started lifting again, and I think I'm getting smaller (see red dress thread) but I'm still holding on to about 4 pounds from 188 that I weighed on November 21, just before Thanksgiving.

I'm resetting my ticker, and I'm GOING FOR A LOSS in January.

1. Track every day (I've gotten sloppy about tracking.)
2. Continue cardio daily and lifting every other day.
3. Watch nibbling/grazing/snacking. That's not how I lost 100+ lbs.
4. Don't get frustrated about not seeing a loss until you can show that you have been 100% OP every day for an entire month.

Words to live by! I second all of them.

goal4agirl 01-02-2011 10:42 AM

Yes...I'm with you! Here's to a very successful new year!!

natamars 01-02-2011 11:48 AM

Fantastic goals, ubergirl! I know you'll achieve them!!

dragonwoman64 01-02-2011 11:50 AM

Yes, it's time to pay the piper, face the music, be real. I reset mine too to better reflect my reality and to start doing what I need to do. (felt kind of sad doing it, hate the back tracking)

spixiet 01-02-2011 12:16 PM

I reset mine yesterday for a five pound gain, so I'm feeling your pain

So tough to lose the pounds, so easy to regain :(
Back on track here too, with tracking food, getting more exercise, and making healthier food choices. What kills me is that I was feeling awesome prior to my backtracking. My skin was clear, my energy level was rising (although slightly), and I felt successful. I was increasing my physical activity and trying to pull myself away from my emotional addiction to the scale. I was actually feeling confident... And yet, the pull of holiday treats and the numbing power of the binge were strong enough for me to throw it out for about 10 days, and now, I almost feel like I'm starting over. ugh-

dragonwoman64 01-02-2011 12:22 PM

well, at least we are holding onto progress that we've made, and going back to good habits :)

Me too! I'm the only-weigh-in-once-a-month type and my November weigh in was the first week of November and I put off the December weigh in until Dec 31 as I knew I was gaining. New beau, holiday treats, etc means my old plan had gone out the window and haven't developed a new on yet that works with my new lifestyle. So with no real plan, gave me a good excuse not to be sticking to a plan.

The good news is I've only gained 2 lbs. Trouble is, I should have been working on losing the last 15!

I love number 4. :D I feel like that sometimes. When the end of the month comes I never actually have a record of my claim to having been 100% on plan. I'm not a good record keeper!

It's hard to reset the ticker! Good going!

I need to reset my ticker too but I am getting wild fluctuations when weighing and want to let it settle down to get an accurate weight. I saw the red dress pictures and you are definitely smaller. I have no doubt that you will do exactly what you decide to do in 2011!

calluna 01-03-2011 11:44 AM

Yay, uber! I also have to recalibrate and will need to reset my ticker, although I'm not sure yet what it will be. Keep on going.

ubergirl I just want you to know that I am one of your biggest fans! Ever since I joined here I have seen your struggle and have related to you because of our similar stats. I just wanted you to know that I think you ROCK!

I am feeling you. My day of reckoning was this morning as well. But my overall theme this year is absolute honesty with myself, so it had to be done. Hang in there. You have done a great job so far, and will get back on track!

Lyn2007 01-04-2011 10:11 AM

I had a regain as well. Guess we better get back to work! I am not changing my ticker this morning though, I will give it a week and see how it goes.

Arctic Mama 01-04-2011 03:02 PM

I held steady with a few small gains (half a pound here and there) from the middle of December, on. And now, having gotten back on track since the new year, I have clocked an all-time low of 205.8. We can do it, ladies, we just have to put our heads down and march forward!
