Sorry!!!! Well, this was really started by me, Ruthxxx. I was messing around and screwed it up. I don't think Ciao has ever posted in here.

No matter what is happening in your life. . . lots of good things or not so good things - there are always things for which you can be grateful. It always puts life into perspective!
Please feel free to join in. It feels good.
Studies show that this daily task can have a positive impact in your life !
Today I am grateful for ...
- a long talk with Karen last night about Wade's death
- getting half the Mill receipts done - baby steps, right?
- finishing prep for Friday's craft lesson - early instead of a photo finish
- 24 hours of rain instead of 24 hours of snow
- my Mikasa Christmas mugs that cheer me this morning
- giggles about my dogs who love being toweled off when they come in from the rain
- this thread that forces me to focus on what's important

Reason: Blew it on a merge!
- Ruth got us started...gratitudes are so important! Thanks! (Ruthxxx combined my thread with hers - because we both posted a gratitude thread- that was nice)
My family... who drive me absolutely insane, but who I wouldn't trade for the world.
My "other' family, my partner, who are pillars of strength and support me.
Not having a job because otherwise, I would probably be heavier, and I would not be going back to school to change my life, and finally do what I was meant to do.
the cold weather, so I can actually use my jacket, scarf and gloves!
Today I am grateful for
- gumboot's avatar
- the first fluffy and puffy snow
- finishing the Mill receipts
- a good meeting about Mill finances yesterday
- Celtic music at the Christmas party although it made me cry
- the pink poinsettia Barb gave me - it reminds me of our developing friendship
- Ernie who manipulated things so I sat between two interesting men at dinner last night
- my renewed enthusiasm
* for my online friends
* that I finally get the results of the MRI today
* A warm home
* DH
* Family, friends, indoor plumbing, 3FC, Cell phones and Internet
Hi to my gratitude friends - what I thought was a nervous tummy before surgery, yesterday morning, turned out to be a nasty stomach/intestinal flu with a temp. Doctor said we had to cancel surgery. I am beyond frustrated. I feel like c**p today - but, keeping stuff 'in'.
Maybe some day it will be a funny story.
- Pepto Bismol and Immodium - very grateful
- DH is so flexible and supportive
- Since I got the stomach/intestinal flu - grateful it was before my surgery (rather than after)
- DS's birthday today.
- friends, family, you all

A couple in the congregation have just had a baby. They knew he was arriving yesterday (C section) and asked if I'd visit this afternoon. They wanted the first person not family to hug him to be the priest.
By and large, I don't manage a goo for babies, I'm better with puppies but he was very cute, and the parents were very conscious of doing a big thing for him, and for me. So today, I am grateful that I got to cuddle a newborn for an hour....(and he didn't cry!)
