Wow, I didn't know wine was carb-free! Does that go for red as well?

starbrite 06-07-2011 02:44 PM

No sirree, no carbs in any dry wine !!

fattymcfatty 06-07-2011 02:47 PM

That is cool. I'm going to have a small glass of chardonnay once in awhile without beating myself up over it. :)

It has been my saving grace. I don't crave bad food if I know I can have a glass of wine - I acknowledged at the very beginning that it was my vice and I needed to pander to the fact that I couldn't eliminate it. I don't go overboard, but if I have too many wines then I make up for it by cutting back on other things, or exercising more. I drink a very large amount of water too though, and don't drink anything else other than english tea and the occasional black coffee.

I am so very grateful to everyone at this site for their advice, support and occasional kick in the *** that we all need from time to time
I consider myself very fortunate- I have a beautiful and very loving family, a great home and a job I love. Now I have a body that I am beginning to accept and appreciate.
When I began this journey I never imagined I would be writing this at this point, but with sheer grit, determination and drive (and a plan that suits me) I have succeeded. For the first time in my life I believe I can get to goal, and stay there.
My plan is loosely based around the Dukan diet. I have never read his book, and could never stick to something that did not suit me. So here are the guidelines I set for myself.
1. Porridge (oats for breakfast)
2. Protein and veg for lunch and dinner
3. No snacking, licking, nibbling!
4. No eating after 7pm
5. Drink 100 ozs water daily
6.Allow white wine
7. Weigh daily and log weight to chart changes and trends
8. Visit 3FC daily and discuss feelings
9. Tell everyone about my journey
10. Believe in myself

Thanks for reading - I really do appreciate you all :woohoo:

I LOVE HEARING THIS!!!!!!!!!!!
:congrats:
