  • Thanks Anna and congrats!
  • Congrats on your quit anniversary Michelle, you are one strong lady.

Wow, I hadn't thought of the date, but tomorrow will be the 12th anniversary of the day I threw away my cigarettes, ending a 24 year 1 pack a day habit. (I never smoked before I got off work, or 4:30 pm. Unfortunately, I think I substituted nighttime eating and 70 more pounds for the smoking. Hmmmmm, something to think about.)
  • Congratulations!!!! It's been a little over a year and a half since I quit a 28 year, 2+ pack/day habit. I used hypnosis, and it worked beautifully because I really, really wanted to quit. Isn't being smoke free a wonderful feeling?

And yes, I had no idea how foul they smell. How foul I must have smelled! DH still smokes, although outside, and sometimes the smell is really offensive to me. I wish he would quit, too.
  • Onederchic you've inspired me yet again.

I barely smoked at all in BC and I'm noticing it already since i've come back that it's time to let it go.

So, I start today It'll be nice not to have that ball and chain following me around

Congrats to you for 2 years!!
  • Your body is thanking you!
  • Congrats, and thank you for making our environment one person better!!
  • Thanks so much everyone
  • Thanks
  • Quote: Questions for quitters - do you find that you're extra sensitive to/repulsed by cigarette smoke now?
Stale smoke on people and in house, cars, etc? Yes. The smell of a freshly lit cigarette? No. It still smells wonderful to me.
