You have NO reason to feel ashamed. NONE. I don't think that ANY ONE of us could say that we haven't been in your shoes before.

Might I challenge you however? Because I care about your health? One of the biggest risks to your health is weight swings -you lose, you gain it all back + some, you lose, Gain, lose, gain..

If you get discouraged, and need to take a break - FOCUS ON MAINTAINING. It will only benefit you in the long run.

    You can do this!
  • welcome back!
Adding my "welcome back" to the list!
All of us have been gung-ho and then the inspiration goes away for some reason! Don't sweat it! I have done this a million times, but I keep trying-so deep down I know I WANT to look and feel better. It may take me years to lose it all-but so what? Atleast I am losing-maintaining it until I try some more-then maintain. It's working for me this way instead of just "starving" for a few months to lose it fast and then gain it all back!
You should try this. Just concentrate on losing ten pounds and keep it off a while-no pressure. Sooner or later you will want to try for a total of twenty-then keep that off. You can do this-just stick with us kid!

  • Thanks so much for all of your help! You're absolutely right. . .just tackle this thing in managable "bites" and then maintain, which is far better than gaining!

You guys are the best! I appreciate it SO much!

What a comfort to be understood! So many people I associate with on a daily basis just don't understand this colossal struggle, (even though they're plenty nice, though)!

This board is like an umbrella, keeping us dry in the rain!
