Finally 180s!
Hi Ladies! I have finally made it to the 180s :carrot:
I'm hoping to not stay here too long, but who knows what the human body will do ;) I'm calorie counting and starting to workout out 3 days a week. I've been lucky enough not to hit any hard plateus this far, but I think adding in excercise will help make sure they don't happen any time soon. I'm really looking forward to getting to know you all :D |
Welcome, chubbyhipster ~ it feels good to be in the 180s doesn't it?! :) I think exercising helps with not hitting any plateaus. I've been lucky enough to not hit any real plateaus, either, and I think I would be pretty nervous if I stopped working out. Good luck to you in getting out of the 180s...we'll all be in the 170s board before we know it.

I too am a calorie counter. Thankfully I haven't hit any real plateaus either, but my weight loss has slowed down a lot since after Christmas (about a lb/week.) I've just started adding an extra day of exercise per week in hopes that I can pick it up a bit (going for 5 days instead of 4). Still, I'm thankful that it's still going in the right direction, slowly but surely! Nice to have more 180's folks to share this journey with :) |
Last Friday: 186.5
Today: 186.1 Yep, whopping .4 lbs! I'm really trying not to get discouraged...but now I'm wishing I was "only" losing 1 lb/week like I had been. I keep expecting a "whoosh" that never comes :( On the bright side...this is my second WI with a BMI under 30 (last week was 29.97, this week is 29.90), so I think it's safe to say I'm no longer obese and offically "overweight!" We start a new challenge on the CC board soon. My goal is going to be to get out of the 180's by Easter. Pretty ambitious given my current slow down, but I'm going to give it my best shot! Hope you ladies are doing well! |
Northern you did great for losing 0.4 pounds, and today wasn't even your official weigh-in day...I say you repost what you are at tomorrow which is your "official" day!! Any loss is better than a gain ~ look at it that way. That's an awesome goal to have by Easter, and you can do it. You are doing great, so far. Hang in there and try not to get discouraged. One of my favorite quotes is "The only way I am going to fail is if I give up." Stick with it, girl!

Thanks NorthernExposure & Emme! I'm really excited to finally be in the 180s. I went and worked out with my friend Anna yesterday. She's been on her weight loss journey for about 6 months now and has lost 40lbs. She works out a lot and helped show me how to do weight training yesterday. I LOVED IT!!! We are set to meet at the gym again tomorrow :) I think it's about that time to add exercise in to my journey ;)

I finally had my "whoosh" today! Down 2.4 lbs to 183.7. I really hope this loss "sticks" for my "normal" WI on Friday (my WI days are "off" this week), but I am very happy today!!
