This says it in a nutshell. All compact. I get it. I understand what I need to do for today! It is simple.
Love the hot pink!!! I used the same mantra, minus the 'decide & commit' I don't know about anyone else, but I decided and commited to a diet every monday morning of my adult life LOL. So instead, I promised myself to BE WILLING to try something new (ie. not to eat whatever crossed my mind, wait 1/2 hour and see what happens), PLANNED ahead for what I'd eat the next two days, and COUNTED all the calories in it. Just counting the calories in what I ate normally was an eye opener! a mayonnaisey chicken salad from the deli that i thought was ok-ish??? turns out it was over 500 cals! ack! Just being AWARE helped a lot!!
i think the HOT PINK will help even more!!! Print it out and stick it up all over your house
cathydoe - I like your new mantra. A few days back, I read somewhere on this site, a quote about "acting sane about food." I can't find the darn quote anywhere now, but it resonated with me and I have said it to myself 3 or 4 times since. I am a level-headed lady and I make pretty good choices in my life EXCEPT surrounding food and self-care (exercise, going to the doctor, placing my personal wants 1st). I can act "sane" about my weight, too.
So, today, I am being a good friend to myself, eating healthy, exercising, and making good, SANE choices all the way around. I wish that for everyone else, too.
