It's SO Spring! Just saying hello!

  • I just wanted a thread for saying "hello". I'm neither off the wagon, nor ditching this place, but I am on here less these days. I've discovered the great outdoors which is not a bad thing. And I'm a writer at heart and my latest book has been calling me again, so that is what I have been doing instead of visiting obsessively here.

    BUT, I am as dedicated as ever. It's that between the gym, my family and my hobbies...well, something's go to give.

    I bet I'm not alone?
  • I'm the same but for different reasons.
    Once spring arrives we start to go away in our caravan again for quite a few weekends, then I end up playing catch up during the week. We have also been socialising more with friends which I haven't had the confidence to do for several years, so I'm really enjoying that at the moment.
    And finally, but most importantly really, I'm trying to get serious training in for the 5k I've signed up for on 3rd July. I'm doing longer workouts at the gym to build my stamina and am trying to progress to running outside more so I get used to it before the race.
    I'm really excited for the summer this year, the first time in years, and I'm slowly learning that this is my way of life now (a healthy one where I balance things out) and I just have to make the most of each day.
  • Yup, same here! Activities for the girls have kicked back in and we spend our evenings outside in the back yard or at the park. I spend much less time on the computer this time of year. I am still rockin' too! I exercise outside more and am LOVING all of the fresh fruits and grilling lean protein. Salmon burgers tonight with cantaloupe and salsa.

    I'm still here, but I can only obsess on something for so long. I will be around in and out. Eating well and exercise are a permanent addition to my routine.
  • Busiest time of the year in my garden! This year I have so much energy to spare I don't really know what to do with it all. I'm tackling projects I only dreamed about in previous years, and enjoying it more than I can say.

    Eating is on plan, losing slowly, but acquiring plenty of muscle as I go, finally broke out of the 190s, and getting ever closer to goal.
  • Gosh, I wish I were out doing spring things. Here chained to computer. Ok. Time for uber to get to work!!!!
  • Same here. I try to get here everyday but there have been some days where I just can't get here. Still working hard though.
