Gettn, I know you mean by not wanting to start the month off like this. I went up .6 yesterday, and today I stayed. So at least I didn't gain but I didn't lose either. I KNOW it's water, I forgot my water bottle at home yesterday so I was basically lost at work. Today I made sure I brought my water bottle in and I will be downing as much water as possible for a nice woosh.

Gormet, you'll get that 40 lbs! And when you do, you will actually be amazed at how little time it took. It doesn't feel like it as you're doing it, but the time actually does speed by.

VL, come on! You can do it!! I'm so glad to see you posting here in this thread. I find it very motivational.

Econ, whoosh, whoosh!! LOL! I don't care if it is "just water weight" 4 lbs in a day is pretty awesome! I have a friend at work who weighs what I weigh at the same height. She talks about losing weight and I'm jealous of her because if she would just get herself going she'd drop 10 lbs over me just like that!

PM, you've had a rough go of it lately. I can't believe you've been sick for so long. I bet this weight loss will at least stick if not continue it's downward trend. Congratulations on your five months! I hit my five 4/9.

Getnfit, story of my life! LOL! I'm certain your tiny gain is because you've increased the exercise. It happens to me each and every time and for me it lasts a month!! I'm just preparing you. ;)

As for me...I don't know what my weight is today. LOL! I kind of manipulated the scale to drag a one pound loss out of it. Pre-workout 195.4 and post-workout (having drunk lots of water and I ate breakfast first): 194.2. :carrot: I really hope to see at least 194.2 tomorrow!!!

I had to come and find you. lol. It will be interesting to compare the month end wi with the beginining one. I hope this motivates me and helps. My goal is to lose, but it would be great to get out of the 270's.

It is nice to see everyone so motivated! Great job on all the losses!
I did weigh in yesterday...down .6 to 276. My husband and I were painting my Mom's kitchen. From prep time to complete finish it took us 6+ hrs!! I am so sore and swollen today! I was afraid to weigh in this morning; good news, I am up but only by .2. I was expecting much worse!
My husband has joined in my journey. It is nice to have someone in the house working with me; but it is discouraging when I eat less and he loses more!!

I really think the sleep and absolute lack of stress in my life is the culprit of the loss. I could stress over everything going on, but decided it would only be a circle that would be hard to get off of. Sleep is always a must have for me to lose weight. Dunno if I'm right, but it's working!

I like weighing on Saturday Mornings, something about giving my muscles time to warm up and get past the swelling but before I eat/drink/workout, before I get on the scale, is where the loss shows.
Of course 30 minutes on the elliptical yesterday helped too! Thanks again to all of you who told me your stories and that I wasn't the only one. Try again, it will get better.... I kept those words playing in my head the whole time!:hug:

Wow.. everyone is doing so well.

I am down this morning to 170.6... so close. I stayed on track really well yesterday. I actually didn't exercise to give my legs a break. Did lots of yard work, cleaned the car- hope that counts for something. Movies at night... I didn't have a single snack- brought water with me and went to bed with my tummy grumbling... it was worth it to see the number on the scale this morning. :)

I plan to do a long bike ride today.. to keep the momentum going.

Oh yes!! 193.6 today, finally some movement!! I really hope this trend continues. Really, really, really!

Had my first session with a personal trainer this morning. I LOVE him. He worked my shoulders until they burned, and yet I don't feel as though I over did it whereas when I do it myself, I don't feel a burn and yet somehow manage to kill myself. I'm so backwards! But I love to feel the burn!

Eliana, yeah for the movement! I am glad you have a good pt. I tried to sign up for the one at the inexpensive gym I use but he only works there from 6:00 am to 1:00pm. No way I can make those hours.

Eclipse, hang in there. That 237.6 will come.

My body finally through off the excess water and stuff from traveling. I had a woosh to 197. That is a totally new number and I don't "officially" claim it until I see it 2 or 3 times. I am looking forward to losing 3 or 4 pounds more so that when I have those fluctuations, I still don't see 200. I remember being really frustrated when I got a little below 250 but when back up to it when I had a few pounds of water weight. So I remind myself that I never see 250 now!

Wow, what a whoosh! Two pounds yesterday and another this morning??? Finally my due whoosh!! AND my family went to an old classic 1950's small town family owned hamburger joint where they probably still cook their hamburgers in lard. :rofl: I could be wrong, but they did when we were kids! It's a place that's so close to where I grew up my brother and I used to walk there all the time for a burger, fries and a shake. Yummy! So my brother and I (with families) met there last night. DH and I split our sandwiches so we had half a burger and half a chicken sandwich. I had four fries and a milkshake. AND, get this! The mother of an old high school friend recognized me and I swear she would not have at my heaviest. Said she'd recognize my face anywhere! :D And I wasn't horrified for her to see me.

So overall, a very, very good day!

And Uber, so glad you've joined us!

Woo hoo! Down another .6! I am finally seeing the hard work at the gym pay off. I know that when I go back to the gym (hopefully today if they are open, if not definately tomorrow) my muscles will swell back up and will probably have a gain, but I am ok with that because now I can it is working!!!:woops:

Goal today: limit the ham.... bad bad salt!:nono::nono:

up today by .8... to 171.4 lbs. Serious sore legs all night from my first bike ride of the season... only 5 miles but 2 uphill.... hoping it drops for tomorrow. I got up at 3 AM to take ibprophen. So sore.

I did 3.5 miles on the treadmill this morning to warm up the leg muscles and work off some water.

PM- I am glad you made it back after one day off plan. Today is my day to let my calories go higher with out feeling guilty. Then back on plan tomorrow.

I am down .2 from yesterday but I know I will probably be back up tomorrow since this is planned day to be OP. I have a new NSV. I bought a dress last month that was a little to tight, hoping that is would fit by April 24 for my anniversary. I tried it on today and it fit perfectly.

Thank the lord! I didn't get to weigh this morning so I had to wait until after church. Still 177 and I'm happy about that because I ate half a pie and made another treat later. But today will be a much better day.
