Talking laugh of the day - ice cream party at work

We are having an ice cream party at work today to celebrate St. Patrick's day. People brought in a bunch of toppings, chocolate sprinkles, sauces, nuts, some fruit toppings (sugar added), cookie crumbs, marshmellows and other stuff. Someone brought a cake to go with the ice cream. We have a big spread! I brought in a couple of boxes of Skinny Cow ice cream products for anyone interested in a lower caloric dish. Well, no one brought ice cream!

Of course someone is running out to get some but I thought it was so funny, all these toppings laid out and no ice cream!

Sounds like a normal day at work to me - poor planning and poor execution! A skinny cow sounds good to me - can I come?

That is too funny! All the icing and no cake to put it on, so to speak. Well, there is cake, but you know what I mean.

Do you have an extra Skinny Cow for me too, please?

too funny. I guess it's like that saying about "all hat, no cattle" but it's "all toppings, no ice cream"!

Good for you for bringing the skinny cows - I bet more people end up choosing them!

You could be bad and roll the skinny cows in the toppings.

I thought about it! That reminds me of something a friend said years ago about Little Debbie's Low-fat brownies, "They are pretty good if you put a scoop of ice cream and some fudge syrup on top!"

Cheryl - can I ask where deep south is? MIL lives in LaGrange, GA, My brother lives in Lexington, KY, and my parents go back and forth between Camden, TN and Daytona, FL. DH and I are traveling to Spartanburg, SC and a few spots in Alabama to start planning a relocation. Our kids are grown and we're ready for warmer weather and a bike-friendly city.
