Let's MARCH into Onederland IN MARCH challange!
Well my chickies... despite my very best effort I did NOT make it into Onederland in February... however... I KNOW that I as well as YOU can make it into Onederland during MARCH!!
So will you? Please? Pretty Please? MARCH into Onederland with me????? March- 201.8 1-202.2 (had a seven mile walk last night... I'm sore!) 2-203.2 may I cry now? I have NO IDEA wtf is going on here. Well, I'm still not going to make ONEDERLAND this month, but maybe I can March out of the teens! I'm in.

March- ONEDERLAND!!
1- 205.6 2- 205.4 (Carving a mountain with a teaspoon. At least it's the right direction.) 3- 203.6 (Scale did the wobbly thing again. First 204.8, then 202.6 and then 203.6 4 times in a row. Frustrating for the wobble, happy for the loss!) 4 - 202.4 (No wobbly scale today. It must be right.) 5 - 202.4 (Who the heck knows. More scale wobblies. I finally gave up and will just record what it said yesterday. It went from 202.0 to 204.8 never resting on one more than once! I ate 1600 calories yesterday. A bit more than I have the last few days, but not at a level to gain weight. Maybe it's time for a new scale?) 6 - 201.6 (Love the new scale. It is very consistant and no more wobblies!) 7 - 201.6 8 - 201.6 (Soooo consistant! This is a good thing, right? LOL!) 9 - 200.8 (YAY! Some movement!) 10 - 200.6 (Anything is better than nothing. I can officially claim the 200 now.) 11 - 199.8 (I will claim Onederland, but am nervous about rebound. YAY!) 12 - 199.8 (No rebound. Hopefully tomorrow it will move.) 13 - 199.8 (Seriously consistant scale! Geez! I am rockin' out over here and nothing is happenning! If the pattern above repeats itself maybe there will be movement tomorrow.) 14 - 200.2 (Not the break I was looking for. I have been OP and started C25K) 15 - 200.4 (Please tell me this will break soon?? I am PERFECT OP & doing C25K) 16 - 200.2 (I can only guess TOM is approaching. I know I'm doing the right things. I'm not close enough to Onederland, but I've been thinking that tracking my daily weight (now that I have a better scale!) might be helpful for me, so if it's ok, I can do that here too? I'll be reading here to root everyone else on anyway!

I'm up AGAIN to 202.2. I worked out pretty heavily yesterday followed by a LONG arse walk. I'm tempted to just quit working out until I get below 200 ;) lol!!!!!
I am imagining I am in for a bit of just hanging around this number... hopefully not too long though! |
I contemplated quitting the workouts to get under 200, but all that will do is shoot you back up once you restart, and you'll have less endurance, and it may take a while for the scale to start moving again. But you knew all that. ;)
Any day now! How frustrating to go back up. Don't you just hate water weight? Oh, and blow on my ticker, would 'ya? ;) It hasn't budged in over a week! |
OMG, I am SO in on this challenge!
I only weigh once a week because I get totally obsessed otherwise, but I'm determined to hit Onederland before the end of March. Will weigh in on a Friday and post then, but will be hanging around daily to see how the daily weighers are getting on. Annoyingly, my weight is up again. Basically I've been stalled for two months. But I suppose I've learned a few things. And meantime, my waist measurement is down 1.5 inches (from 39 to 37.5), as well as my other measurements going down. So I will just keep on, with adjustments.

I considered not rejoining this challenge so not to put pressure on myself. Who was I kidding! :lol3: I will put pressure on myself to get below 200 regardless, so I am in!

Hope you don't mind if I join. I need to lose 90 lbs so consider myself a 100 lb club member (it might as well be 1,000 lbs at this point). I'd LOVE to get to ONEderland by April 1, but if I can just get out of the teens, I'd be cheering from the rooftops. If I shouldn't post in the 100 lb club, just let me know.

There is no rule that you have to be 100 pounds overweight to post in the 100 club. Our dear Robin and Lori and Glory have not one ounce left to lose and we all get happy when they post - so welcome!
Got a bit stuck in February - saw 211 but then bounced back up to 214 and hung out. I start workinig one shift (instead of bouncing around between three) this week, so I have high hopes that my body will figure out where we're going and what we're doing. Exercise will also be easier with a more routine schedule. So having said all that - let's MARCH! 3-1 214 |
Still at 203 today but this is actually good. My weight always fluctuates so I tend to think of it as my weight range. It has not bounced up to 204 for several days now so I will see 202 any day!
I have noticed that most most here have weights with decimal points. My scale is old. It is digital but only measures in whole numbers. It is probably inaccurate and I need (want) to replace it but not until I get to 190 by this scale. At this point, I just couldn't bear to see another 10 pounds! |
I am not a happy person today... last night I came down with a bad case of diarrhea and subsequently the scale went UP a pound over night. I'm TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY on plan... so I'm hoping it's just cause I'm sick :(
Either which way I cried my eyes out because I am NOT USED to seeing the scale go up when I've been completely on plan and not in that TOM... oh well. Tomorrow's another day. |
Diarrhea and scale went up! That sucks! Hang in there, cfmama. The scale will go down! Hope you feel better soon.

Feel better soon! Any weight changes not related to plan activity are temporary. You probably are already there, you just need your body to rebalance and then you'll see it on the scale!

And you know that the weight is just your body trying to hold onto whatever water it can when you are losing too much of it. It may take another day or two to get sorted out and the timing is of course so frustrating, but you have not gained any actual weight. |

I've got to share this with you chickies... I'm stressing out big time. I was SO FREAKING CLOSE to onederland and then gaining weight FOR NO REASON... it's just freaking me out. And RIGHT AS WE SPEAK after dinner and a liter of water I am 209.4... and that will only drop about 3 lbs before bed and then 2 ish over night... so putting me at 204. something. WTH. I am honestly seriously DEAD serious when i say I am COMPLETELY on plan. 100%. With no changes. Period.
*sigh* I just feel so... defeated. I'm tempted to stay off the scale for a bit. This is stressing me out. |

I'm not saying it could hurt to take a scale break if that's what you want to do but please, don't be too hard on yourself. Just continue on plan and it WILL happen, and very soon. |
CF, part of your feeling defeated is because you're so close to a major milestone. That really sucks. You probably wouldn't feel as bad if you were 10 lbs away either way. You may even be amused by your wonky body.
I'm getting over bronchitis at the moment and have been stuck at the same weight while being totally on plan. Yesterday I measured and consumed 1200 calories and gained a 1/2 pound. I think maybe our bodies are hanging on to water to repair/mend whatever is happening inside our ill bodies. For you, maybe you're retaining BECAUSE you have diarrhea as a way of conserving what your body knows it's going to lose, keeping you from dehydrating. Hang tough! |
Are you having any other symptoms beyond the diarhea? Fever, fatigue? Have you eaten something new that you don't normally eat? Reacting to that?
I think the ladies are right, your body is holding onto fluids while it repairs itself. I still stand by my earlier prediction - you're already there - the scale just isn't showing it because of these other things going on. I am carrying an umbrella so I don't get wet from the woosh that's coming any minute! |

My scale still says 203 but I swear that I am seeing differences. My rings and clothes are looser. |

After a serious stall in Feb, the scale is wooshing like crazy for me. 3lbs down last week and another 3lbs down so far this week. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, I just hope it is here to stay! I keep thinking that the scale somehow is wrong. It's not giving me the utmost confidence in it with all of its indecision. I have an analog scale also (that seems to be less accurate) but they both are moving in the same downward direction, so I think it might be right. I have been journaling really tightly and keeping my calories from 1200 to 1400 whereas before I had them at 1500 to 1700. Maybe this is the difference I needed. My clothes are fitting looser now than they were at the beginning of the week.

Sometimes I just have to accept things that I don't want to accept. I have lowered my calorie levels and my loss has improved. I have been thinking a great deal about all Robin's posts about the willingness to do whatever it takes to lose this weight. I had to ask myself what am I willing to do? Am I willing to do more than I have been doing for the past 3 months? The funny thing is that now I have lowered my calories, it is not the big deal that I thought that it would be. It is not that drastic a difference. I was averaging 1350/day and I dropped it to an average of 1250/day but that 100 calories seems to make a difference.

It it's easy to get used to if you are eating the right foods. Me this morning? After a fruit and veggie feast yesterday I am at 200.4. Yay! Maybe tomorrow???? |
