I will be part of the 5% club!!!! I will I will I will... and lets face it. I've been maintaining my loss all along!!!! I'm over 16 months into this!!!
|
Hey, lets all squeeze into that 5% !
|
I've been doing this since last summer and I am still highly motivated!!!
I am going to be one of the 5%! |
Heck yes, I am still going strong and I've been here for the second time around since the end of October.
|
Well, I've been around A LOT longer than six weeks, LOL! I have also become fairly good at maintaining. I am just ready to get this done (I know I said the same thing last year and although I did lose 15-20 pounds, I really wanted to be under 200 by 2010). :?:
Here's to becoming one of the 5% in 2010! :carrot: |
I am one of those newbies who started for the millionth time on 1/1/2010.....I am still here.. So far so good....I am upping my workout this week..I am hoping that will move my scale and keep me going!! :D You girls soo inspire me!!!
|
I noticed at the Y today that a lot of the "resolution" people weren't there. Seems like it's every Monday I notice a drop. I, on the other hand, ran an extra lap today. WooHoo 5% club!
|
I hate when "they" (media etc.) throw that statistic (3-5%) out there to discourage people.
That 5 percent is a WHOLE lot of people, and we can all be one of them. :) |
I don't know if I qualify to join the 5% club because I started October 2008 so I've been at this awhile. But I do know that I'm not quitting ever! This is it, this is my life.
|
Well, I won't be the January statistic as I began my final journey at the end of last July. So over 6 months in, I'm in it for the long haul.
But I will definitely be part of the 5% statistic, after all this hard work I'm NEVER going back this time. |
You know, one of the reasons I think a lot of people drop out around now is because this is the point that so many people plateau. I've been losing since September, but I took a break around the holidays and only lost 2 lbs between Thanksgiving and New Years (which was great, because I was amining for maintenance!). Anyhow, I've been back at it since around the first and I've has some good losses since then, but all of a sudden I've it a plateau and I'm even seeing an upward swing on the scale. Now, I was expecting this. I know it happens. But it takes a lot of self talk to remind myself that this is just a little upward/flat blip on the weight graph and that it will be headed back in the right direction soon. I can imagine how discouraging it would be for someone just starting out, thinking "I'm excecising, and starving myself, and depriving myself and I'm GAINING WEIGHT? What's the point?"
So anyhow, if any newbies are reading this, please keep the faith and keep doing what you're doing - or start reading here for ways to change up your program and break through. Make breaking your plateau a project, something for you to accomplish. So many of the amazing success stories here talk about plateaus and how common they are - those guys did it, and we can too. |
