Default Wii Balance Board

Do you think the Wii Balance board is very accurate. I am finding it not too be. Like it seems everytime I get on it, it's the same or gone up by .07. Everytime. But I use my scale in my bathroom it says I have lost 3lbs over the last week. I think my scale in my bathroom is right. If anything weighing to much, my friends scale says she is 10lbs heavier on my scale, then she is on her scale at her home. How do you test for accuracy.

Just my opinion, but I would not take the balance board as gospel. I use my scale for actual true weight.

I don't know. I had two weeks of a .2 pound loss on the Wii. Then the power cord stopped working and it was two weeks before we could get a new one, so I bought a scale. I dropped EIGHT pounds in a week. I was hesitant to accept it, but DH and my son both weighed in an had reasonable weights. So... I don't know. LOL! Needless to say, I like the scale!

First off Eliana...That is my daughters middle name lol. I don't see it too often, most people who know it LOVE IT! I think it's so beautiful.

I think the WII balance board doesn't seem very accurate, I have heard a lot of people say they don't trust it as much as their bathroom scale, which makes me hopefull lol. I like my bathroom scale better too, it says I have lost lol.

It's my chosen Hebrew name, but if I had a daughter, that's what I'd name her.

I always thought mine to be accurate. I have two scales (I thought one was broken when it wasn't.) They weigh me the same as the balance board.

I am pretty sure mine is accurate. It compares to my digital scale and the scale (s) at the center where I do my weigh ins.

Mine weighs me the same as my scale in the bathroom (ok it's off by a 1/4 of a pound lol)...if you are using the balance board on various types of carpet, etc will make it weird out on you.

My balance board is not exactly calibrated with my normal scale (it's a few pounds higher) but seems to be moving at about the same rate.

I am only doing the fitness test/weight check once a week though - I don't like to weigh in every day, plus if I use the Wii on weekdays, it's in the evening, so I didn't want it recording those weights. Now I just do the fitness test on Sunday mornings so it can still track me, let me set a goal, etc.

My Wii balance board tends to be accurate BUT I use my Wii balance board on a wood platform on top of my carpet. If your balance board is directly on top of carpet, I'd expect it to not be as accurate same as if you had a scale on top of carpet.

Thanks Ladies. Maybe it is because I have it on carpet. I will have to find something to put under it or something to see if it matches my scale. It's a good difference. My scale in the bathroom says 243, my scale on Wii fit says 247. My scale in Bathroom did say 250lbs on New years day EKKK, but it has gone down weather it's off or not it's gone down. So I take that it was a loss.

I always thought my Wii fit was accurate and I have it directly on carpet. I'm not too worried about the number, I just want it to keep going down!

You could weigh a bag of dog/cat food or something else that is pre-weighed in order to test either scale.

Hmm, I haven't checked. I have noticed that it goes up and down a lot though. I will have to weigh in next time I go to the gym to compare.
