  • I use something similiar too. I found out about this program after I had already starting what I was doing and didn't want to change. I am way slow though lol I can only jog 4.6 on the treadmill and the longest for me is 6 minutes. lol Gotta work your way up though - at least I know that I have!
  • Hi gloo! I would definitely recommend c25k. I always hated running because I couldn't run for more than a few seconds. When I started, I had to push myself to do the 60 second runs, but it does get easier. Keep in mind that it is okay to repeat a week if you are still struggling. I have repeated a couple of weeks. I just know that if I try to push myself too hard, I will end up getting discouraged. I would also recommend finding a good podcast. I don't know what type of music you like, but if you enjoy hip-hop and upbeat dance music, I found a podcast that is perfect. It is at www.runningintoshape.com. But find what works best for you. Good luck and keep us posted!
  • Thanks so much for all the encouragement, everyone!

So just as I'm about to suck it up and start on this, what happens?

It SNOWS in the Bay Area. Snows, y'all. WTF?!? I left the east coast 8 1/2 years ago and I thought I left snow behind forever. No so much, apparently.

With that in mind, I have another question.

Is it feasible to start this out inside, with a jogging in place sort of thing? Until the weather clears up and I can get outside, that is.
