another gall bladder attack
right now... for the last hourish. I *think* the morphine is starting to kick in. I think this because I am no longer screaming. Frick I better hear from the surgeon soon.
*hugs* I will be sending warm thoughts to you.
Aww I'm sorry to hear that!! Do you know what set it off? For me, it was just overly fatty meals.
Sorry to hear that. Hope you feel better soon -- at least long enough so they can get this dealt with.
Oh you poor thing! My gall bladder attacks were the worst, and there was no rhyme or reason to them, so no way to avoid them. Hope you hear from your surgeon SOON!
CF,
I hope you feel better soon. Bug the surgeon's office, remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease! |
Oh CF....I'm sorry. Take good care of yourself and feel better soon!
 |
Oh, that totally sucks. I am glad you have the drugs. Hopefully they will help!
That utterly sucks. I hope the pain gets under control soon. I agree that you should pester the surgeon's office, and play up the unbearability of the symptoms you're having. Unfortunately, being stoic and tough does NOT get you a quicker surgery date...but whining may! :)
I am so sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. I hope you feel better soon.
Hope you get to feeling better soon.
For me it was the tequila.... which is why I don't drink that anymore.... :) |
You poor thing....hang in there. I hope they can fix you up really soon. I've never had gall bladder attacks but I've heard they're terribly, terribly painful.
OMG I am so sorry. Sending big hugs!! Hang in there!! Gooooooo morphine!
Oh ouch :( I hope you can prevent the, you know, lower GI problem you had last time from the morphine :^:
That sucks girlie :( |
Owie!!! I'm so sorry that you're going through this! I'm also sending out *Get this woman into surgery* vibes :goodvibes:
   Linda |
Wow..I'm kinda shocked they didn't send you into surgery asap. I had ONE attack, and I had surgery the very next day. I hope you get into surgery soon.
Yes, that pain is so unbearable, I'm so sorry, I hope you can see your dr, very soon. Try to take care.
ow ow ow , big hugs. Keep pressing your gp or whatever your route to the surgeon is. I understand (UK dweller) the double edged sword of free state health provision: yes, it's free, yes there's a huge waiting list! hugs
Oh, HotMama --- I am sorry you are hurting so and I am sorry you have to WAIT for this obviously very needed surgery! Sending some very strong "get the heck off your behind and get this lady into the operating room ASAP" thoughts to your doctor. I hope this episode passes very, very quickly.
I don't understand why they're not getting you in surgery any faster than they have. Just sending someone home on morphine is NOT good doctorin' in my opinion!
Cf - I'm so sorry to hear - I really hope you have it out soon!
Update, please!
My gosh, girl you need to get that thang outa there, huh?
I'm so sorry to hear about that! I guess it is just a phenomenal amount of pain. Hang in there!

Hang in there sweety...
Sending get well wishes...hopefully the doctors will hurry up and get you "fixed." Until they get your surgery set up, you may want to track what you are eating (especially leading up to both attacks) and see if something is triggering the attacks. Might at least help save you future attacks until you have surgery. I know acidic foods (teas, citrus, etc.) and a lot of fats (as in many different kinds, not large quantities) can trigger gallbladder attacks.
Hopefully you won't have to deal with this much longer. |
Hoping this will be a thing of the past for you soon!!!
Oh no. I can't believe you are going through this again. I hope this passes quickly.
I'm posting from my bed in the hospital.
I've been here from 7pm monday night to now. They are treating me with antibiotics in the hopes that they can get it to settle down and if that does not work than I will have to have surgery tomorrow (wednesday) I see the surgeon again in the morning at which time they'll check my blood work etc. I'm about to pass out again from the drugs. love you all Tam |
Prayers and hugs and I hope they yank it out soon.
Thanks for the update..we will keep praying for you.I was so glad to get mine taken out!!!
Prayers, love and hugs sent your way...I hope they take them out and it wont be a hinderance anymore...Gloria
Thinking of you Tam--hoping you'll be getting that ol' thang taken out today! :)
Sucks you're in the hospital but at least you may get it our sooner so that this whole blasted saga will end.
Hope you're feeling alright with the meds. |
Okay. I`m home. My blood work this morning showed that the infection is clearing. They want to take it out AFTER the infection is gone because if they do it WHILE it`s infected than they cannot do it laproscopically and I`ll have to stay in the hospital for 5 days. So obviously I`d prefer to have it done laproscopically.
I just had my first food in almost 48 hours! I`m mega dehydrated despite the IV fluids which of course bloat the heck out of you. I have a new surgeon on the case and he wants to take it out in about a week-1.5 weeks UNLESS it flares again and then I have to have emergency surgery. So that`s where it all stands. Thanks for all of your love care and well wishes. I`m going to eat my banana, have a bath and take a nap. |
Well, at least there's an end in sight...sort of....:)
Enjoy your nap... |
Great. Good to know that the conveyor belt is edging you closer to a result.
