This morning I weighed myself as usual and I was still 315, but I noticed I accidentally weighed in on the wrong user, so I set it to my user and weighed myself again and it said 309. Of course I was skeptical so I went ahead and weighed again to see if the scale was just toying with me, and it said 313.4, and it kept saying that after a few times, so I just figured that's what I actually weigh.
I usually only weigh in once in the morning. I don't obsess over it, I just like to have that to keep me motivated.
I know I shouldn't worry about this, but I'm just curious: is there something wrong with my scale or is it normal for it to do that? I just don't know what to put down as my actual weight if it changes like that within minutes.
I bought a digital scale and it did the same thing - I would weigh myself like 8 times in a row and it kept giving me different numbers, sometimes 3-4 lbs apart!
So I bought another digital scale, this one wayyyy more expensive ... and it does the same thing!!! It was driving me nuts so now I just weigh in once. Just once - and I take whatever number it spits out.
My scale does the same thing but I usually try it about three times and 2 out of 3 is what I go with...unless for some reason I get a lower number that I wasn't expecting to see then I'll usually pick that number
I bought a scale about 7 months ago and it did that... so I put up with it for a while and then went and bought a Taylor scale and it NEVER does that. It was more expensive but with it for my anal retentive little soul!
My scale does it too. I've been obsessing too much over it lately, so I'm taking a break. From now on I'm just taking the first number it gives me rather than repeating 3 more times.

I have heard (but don't personally know) that that is because it holds your last weight in memory for some period of time.
I threw my scale out. I would get on with my right foot and it was 2 pounds more than I stepped on with the other. Somedays my weight fluctuated to impossible measures. I tried moving it, putting in new batteries, etc. It's only a year old. I want it to be accurate and although like you I don't obsess, it's still important to be accurate I weigh myself at my gym now on one of those doctor type scales and try on a pair of tight pants for a true measure
I've had the same happening with three different scales, not sure why but yes it's frustrating. Now, whenever (occasionally) it happens I weight, I just take the first number, which is fine because I'm too lazy to step on the scale further times.
It helps to know so many of you deal with the same thing, maybe my scale isn't defective afterall. :P I'm just gonna have to go with the first number, I don't need the scale toying with my emotions. lol Couch - I would take it back, but I just took my last one back since it died on me after a week. :/ This one is actually more expensive than my last one, so I don't know if I want to spend any more on a scale. Maybe I should just stick with this one for a little longer and see if it's tolerable. Cfmama - Which model Taylor scale do you have? I wanna keep it in mind in case this one doesn't work out.
