  • I discovered in Lane Bryant today that I've lost two pant sizes [I went from 24 in dress pants to 20]. SCORE. I also discovered [for those of you familiar with their color system of blue vs red vs yellow] that what with losing weight, I've switch colors.

I was initially a Blue - 4. I then lost 15lbs, apparently from my thighs and butt, although since I have wide hips, nothing really from there...this turned me into a Red - 4, and I look freakin' AMAZING in my new jeans. I now have a nice hourglass figure again vs the blob I was becoming.

My mom bought me a shirt, a pair of dress pants and a pair of jeans - all of which are either cut in a style or have some function that will allow them to still fit nicely when I lose another 15 - 20 lbs. Our goal is to find clothes every 15 - 20 lbs that will transition nicely from one stage to another.

I didn't realize I could look that good...I'm so happy!!!
  • YES indeed!!!! Way to go!!!

  • Congrats!

Dropping sizes is always a good feeling.
  • That is so awesome! I know exactly how you feel You should be proud of yourself!
  • congratulations!!

I wish we had Lane Bryant in this country. Oh now, now I remember, I won't need them any more....
  • Congrats! That's awesome. I love their jeans, they fit me perfectly.

Just a quick question - how do you know exactly what size the pants are in normal sizes? When I bought my jeans at the store the lady didn't know exactly (she was new) and I've looked online but couldn't find any size comparisons. I'm a 7 Red but I have no clue if that's good or bad. lol
I've wore a 26/28 for a while but I don't know if 7 Red is any different. If any of you know I'll be forever grateful.

    From these charts:
    Right Fit: http://www.lanebryant.com/pagebuilde...chart_rightFit
    LB Bottoms: http://www.lanebryant.com/pagebuilde..._chart_bottoms

    A size 7 Red = 46" waist, 52 - 55" hips

    In LB's standard bottoms, that's approximately a 26.

The key for me is that the "color" bottoms fit better.

    And I'd say it is different - it's a 26, working it's way down to a 24, then a 22, then a 20, and so on.
  • Yeah!!! That is great!
  • How exciting!
  • YAY for you!!!
  • Well done! I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you changed colors as well as numbers...it makes sense that your body composition would change a bit after dropping some pounds!
  • Go on you sexay thang! That is FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC! What a great plan too, something that will work now and in 15-20 pounds.
I'm real proud of you sweetie, keep it up!
  • Rock on sista!
  • Congratulations!!!! Don't you feel amazing?!?! It makes so much difference, and makes you look so much smaller, to wear clothes that fit your shape and flatter you.

I am really not looking forward (much) to the day when I can't wear the Catherine's/Lane Bryant jeans anymore. I mean, it'll be great to be a size 12, but their jeans fit soooooo well. My goal is to no longer be able to shop at either store, except for bras, by the end of this summer. Right now I'm in a 3 Red bottom/0X top so I think that's doable.
  • Woopie! It must feel wonderful!!!! Congratulations...you earned it.
