Rewards

  • What plans do you have for rewarding yourself?

I know a lot of you talk about jewls any other ideas?

I am going to the spa next week (just to get my brows and nails done)- I want to do this on a regular basis!! I not ready for a full body massage yet - maybe towards the end of summer...

    Let's hear some reward ideas!!!

  • Rewards..what wonderful things.

I am giving myself one once I get back down to 199. A tattoo. not sure of what or wear, but a tattoo.

When I reach my final goal, a cruise where I can dance away in my bathingsuit.

When I was at 250 lbs I had a full body massage done. Let me tell you, it was amazing and wonderful. I felt comfortable. My friend who gives massages told me, the real thin women are the problem, not the women with some meat. I say go for it as soon as you feel comfortable, nomatter what the scale says.
  • In order to get myself going again this time, I went with Jewlery. (Some would say I have issues when it comes to sparkley things!!)

When I lose 10 more lbs (270) I am buying a peridot necklace.

When I lose 20 more lbs (260) I am buying peridot earrings.

When I lose 30 more lbs (250) I am buying a peridot ring.

Usually I would not allow myself so many rewards or such expensive ones, but I am really trying to motivate myself to get under 250.
  • I haven't set any particular reward with an achieved weight (yet)

My first reward was the bike - that was for just for getting off my rear and actually doing something

I also had an idea.. to put a dollar (or more) in an envelope for every pound I lose. That way when I reach my goal weight I will have a bit of money to play with and actually spend on me!....

Hmm... maybe I'll do 5 that would give me over 500 buckarinos!!!

  • I am giving myself the greatest reward I know of.......
    feeling good about myself
seeing the changes in my shape and size
    achievement
    success
    thrill
    pleasure
    compliments
    physical comfort
    health improvements
excitement ...every time I step on the scale
    a fuller life in general
    and pride in myself

  • For rewards, I am going to do 2 things. I am steeling BA's idea with the charm bracelet. That isn't that much of an expence and will give me something to work on.

When I reach my final goal, I am going to get a tatoo on my lower back. I know what I want and can't wait to reach my goal. I think it will look great when I'm "thinner".

My rewards are clothes! I love trying on clothes especially when I am close to getting down to the next size. It is so much fun for me to try on lots of new things when I HAVE to get new clothes. I cant stand loose pants. When they get loose I go to the next size down, for me thats a real reward!!

  • I think most of the rewards will come from the weight loss itself. Among my rewards will be confidence, better health, and no more obesity related problems with knees, etc.

Of course, I will also need to have a whole new wardrobe by the end, and a few nice things along the way as I change sizes. It amazes me though how few new things I've needed to buy so far. I've lost 44 pounds and I can still wear many of the same things.

  • My rewards
I have thought of a few, I just don't know yet where they fit into the scheme of things.

Here were a few of my ideas:

    clothes (of course)
    sexy lingerie

For reaching my final goal, I've decided to sign up for belly dancing lessons. My husband has said that he will take me on a cruise. Like I'm gonna say no.

The other thing I have decided to do, not necessarily a reward, but it's still something that will make me feel better and give me motivation is to gather canned food equal to the amount fo weight I've lost and donate it to our local food shelter. This will also keep me on track, seeing the pile grow.
