Default Non-food Reward

Call this one a DOH! moment, I guess!

I am currently (back) at 242, down from my original 265. I want to give myself a pat on the back when I hit 239 --- which is both 25+ pounds gone AND a new decade. But I just wasn't coming up with anything that seemed really fun.

Today I am plodding along on the treadmill, wishing I had a better selection of music to use when making play lists for my Ipod thingie. Well, DOH! I have given Itunes music cards to my kid, my husband and various others --- why don't I give one to ME? So, once I hit 239 --- which should be soon, very very soon, LOL --- I am going to spend $25 on me.

Any one have any favorite get-your-assets-moving songs they would recommend as possible future downloads?

That's an excellent non-food reward. I have the unfortunate habit of treating myself with food so this time around I've made a conscious effort to not make it a reward. I am badly in need of a haircut so I told myself once I hit 10 lbs lost (only 2 to go!) I'll make an appointment to have my hair cut. It's also a good motivational tool for me because I REALLY want to get it cut but I've told myself "absolutely not until I get to 195!"

I was just thinking yesterday that I had a handful of songs that I would like to download, but was debating on whether I should spend the money on them or not. A music gift card would be an excellent weightloss reward. Thanks for the great suggestion.
