Visualization...
I was thinking when I was TRYING to pick up my 63 pound, 7 year old son that I have come close to losing the same amount that he weighs. (I am at 47 pounds but you know what I mean)... In few months I will have lost the same amount of weight as he weighs!! Trying to pick him up when he is sleeping or something is getting harder and harder and I think "you used to carry this much extra around all over your body too". It's amazing when you think about it. No wonder you get more energy when you lose weight-there is less for your poor body to carry around!!
Have you guys ever done this?? |
Most definately. When I lost 25 lbs I just *Happened* to need to go buy dog food... and I get 25 lb bags. About halfway between the store and the car I realized, "Girl? You have lost this much weight. You were hefting this around on your body for the last six months." It was quite the shocker..
Although I WILL say that the visual picture (forget which of you lovely ladies blessed me with this) of 30 lbs of butter was definately a better motivator!!! |
Isn't it amazing??
Butter, dog food, sugar, flour, cat litter...all amaze me. I used cat litter when I lost 62 lbs..I could barely carry the 40 lbs container of it..was amazed. I think this is an awseome "tool" to use...and the clothes. Clothing is an awseome too too! |
great thoughts!!! but i had to stop doing it. i've lost so much that i've lost entire PEOPLE!!!!
in fact, my wonderful niece, who's a cross country runner, can't visualize it unless she takes the weights of her friends and mixes them up to see how many of them and which ones i've lost!!!!! it is a great visual, though. and i've been imagining what, say, 10 pounds of butter looks like in my belly, and hoping that it will all disappear soon! |
I can't wait to say I've lost a person. Well, I could say I've lost an toddler..
You all rock! |
Weight loss visualizations.....
I guess I could say that I've lost a basset hound (50#) and have a terrier (25#) to go!!!
Best wishes, everyone. |
