  • Thanks for the great ideas!!
  • Mmm all the salads sound great. I love salads, I will have to try some of these!
  • You all are making me HUNGRY!!! Thanks for the recipes, I have printed them out for my folder!!!
  • Quote: This is my favourite salad - so GOOD!

Spinach, watercress and rocket leaves (available as a pack from Asda)
    Grilled chicken breast
    Cherry tomatoes
    Cucumber slices
    Mustard seeds
    Pine nuts
    Schwartz Salad Topping

    Yu-um!
Mustard seeds, how intriguing!!!! How many? Like a tbs?
  • Quote: cup of imitation crab
    !
Oh, I love imitation crab on salad (I call it FRAB - fake + crab), I haven't done it in ages, thanks for the reminder!
  • Glory: it's also really good tossed with a couple cups of hot steamed cabbage and a couple T's of really good savoury salad dressing (I like the Newman's own low fat Sesame Thai or Renee's Tangerine and Lime)
  • I've used it in pasta sauce too (in place of ground turkey or whatever) - I love the stuff!
  • Man, those all sound YUMMMMMMM!

One of my recent favorite ingredients for a salad is ripe avocado slices......MMMMMMMMMMMMM!
  • Sighhhhh!!!! I miss Fage yogurt! I think I have found a Korean equivalent to their lightest one but it still does not kick butt like FAGE.....I wish we could get it here. The commissary guy tried but they won't send it over.
  • Oh, another favorite:

    Big bed of mixed greens
Grilled chicken breast marinated in salsa
    Low sodium black beans
    Grilled bell pepper
    Grilled zucchini
    Grilled Red Onion Rings
    Black Olives
1/2 a baked small corn tortilla - I put mine in a cookie sheet, sprayed with cooking spray, sprinkle with salt, bake at 400 until crispy, then crumble over the top of the salad
Dressing - equal parts fat free sour cream and pineapple salsa.
