I only started taking my measurements last month (November 7) but have taken them weekly since then. I'm pretty impressed with the progress I must say!

November 7
neck 17
upper arm 20.5
breast 61
waist 56
thigh 31.5
calf 20.75
wrist 7
ankle 10.25
under chin to top of head 27.75 (taken for the first time on Nov 25)

December 6
neck 16
upper arm 19
breast 58
waist 50.5
thigh 28.5
calf 18
wrist 6.75
ankle 9.5
under chin to top of head 26.5

I am so HAPPY that I started taking my measurements finally!!!

I think taking measurements is a great idea. I haven't done it yet in this incarnation (and last!) of my weight loss journey. I will add it to my 'to do' list tomorrow.

I can see how it would be so motivating...kinda like the ticker...want to see the numbers go doowwwwn!

That's great!!!! I thought I was the only one who measure neck, wrist and ankle, I even did my foot.... lol I can't wait to see the same results as you!

That's great!! I would be proud of the results if I was you too!! I'm with Michelle, I think measurements are a great motivator, and I should do mine too so maybe when the scale isn't moving I will know something is happening. Keep up the great work!!

Well done for having taken your measurements. They are another confirmation that your weight loss is going in the right direction. Even when the scales don't budge the inches/cm do.

I only wish I had forethought to take my measurements, the only one I ever took for some bizarre reason was my waist. I so wish I had a record of how much I had lost from other parts of my body.

Our measurements are really close. The point of this? You should be really happy, you must have a lot of lean muscle!

That is really neat to see Thanks! I've been told many many times that I "carry my weight well." My response is always "well as well as you can carry 376 lbs!" lol!!!

I do a lot of yoga type stretching and walking. I am up and down stairs packing kids, laundry and stuff all day long. I'm also up and down off the floor every five seconds. Having to heft this amount of weight up off of the floor easily takes some muscles I guess lol!

Way to go! I only started taking measurements a few weeks ago. I think it is really motivating and totally tells you if you are on the right track or not. My thighs sadly, aren't budging!
