Default Sweat

I had one of those "aha!" moments when I finished my run today.

Exercise used to be the bane of my existence! I hated the effort and I especially hated to sweat, is that weird? Lately though (as in the past couple of months) Exercise has become something that (most days) I love, and I've discovered that I love a good sweat too! I'll get back in from a hike or a run and I'm soaked with sweat, even dripping and I have to admit it's not only tolerable but enjoyable. It's gotten to the point that if I'm not thoroughly soaked with sweat I don't feel satisfied.

I know I'm not the only person out there that totally hated sweating and I want you to know that there IS hope for you! If I can learn to love a good sweat session anyone can!

I came home from working out on Friday and was all excited to show my boyfriend how dripping my bangs were and how wet the front of my T-shirt was. I used to think sweat was disgusting and went out of my way to avoid it. Now, I do measure it by how good my workout was, and I think about the weight melting off as the sweat pours off. I don't know if that is actually true but it's a good visual for me to have.

I'm the same way...I MUST sweat when I workout, or it doesn't feel "right", lol. If I'm not sweating, I'll turn off the fan sometimes. Ha!

You mean it gets better? I honestly think that sweating is part of the reason I am reluctant to work out. I absolutely hate the way sweat feels, I don't want to be clammy, I don't want to be sticky.

Guess its something I am just going to have to get over. Good to know there is hope!

Yes it gets better. I too use to HATE sweat, but now I love the way I feel after a good sweat. Doesnt help the fact that I have to MAKE myself get up to work out, but after I do.. I feel fab.

What a great "moment" for you. This stuff is just mind boggling, isn't it? To find out what we're capable of. To discover that dreaded things, are not only no longer dreaded - but to actually look forward to them.

I'm the same way. I used to HATE sweating. I thought it was so nasty. Now I realize that now sweating is what was nasty...all the ickies that I gladly sweat out now used to be stuck in my skin!

I've also noticed that I sweat more readily now...like my body isn't trying to hold on to all its water like it used to. *shrug* I guess it finally has realized I'm going to keep giving it water so it's not scared anymore!

OMG, that sounds like me....I totally HATE sweating. When I sweat I get itchy all over. My hair is soaking/dripping wet, my shirt(especially the back of it) is soaked, and even my crotch in my pants and underwear is soaked with sweat...I totally hate it. How do you get over that and just work out....I try to avoid sweating at all cost if I can...
