You guys have been such a huge help to me! I’ve been lurking on your board for several months now and I thought it was time for me to introduce myself.

My name is Robyn and I started my weight loss journey in October at 225 and I’m now down to 157 (with about 12 – 17 more to go)! I’ve been overweight most of my life (since middle school) and have tried every diet under the sun. I decided to do this once and for all when my blood pressure got really high. It was a fluke that I was at my Mom’s house and decided to check my blood pressure I don’t remember the number now, but it was really high and I saw such a scared look on my Mom’s face (I don’t ever want to see that look again). I decided right then and there that no matter what I was going to get healthy for my family. I’ve come to the board almost every day for my daily dose of inspiration and humor. You guys are truly awesome. On those days when I just didn’t feel like doing my program I would come to the board and read something that would keep me going. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.

I’ve been following the weight watchers points system on my own and walking between 2 – 3 miles a day (when I first started ½ a mile nearly killed me). I would love to join you guys and hopefully I can give back since this board has helped me so much.

I am soooo glad you've come out of lurkdom. From one Robyn to another let me just say that I am really glad you're here. Please participate though, we would love to hear from you and all that you have learned thus far during your very successful journey.

So how's the blood pressure doing? I'n sure regardless of where it is, you have made huge, just huge improvments to your overall health and your everyday life.

I just checked my blood pressure this weekend and I'm proud to say it was 113/65! I can't wait to join in! I've tried other boards in other locations and they don't seem to have as much fun as you guys!

Weight loss like that inspires us all I think! Thank you for sharing you story. It really helps me to feel like if others can do it, I can do it!! That's why I'm so glad that I found this board. I feel I am going to be so much more successful then all my other attempts to lose the weight. Just because I have a support group now, and even people have been there, done that! Welcome!
