So, yesterday, I wore a skirt to work. Not a big deal, I wear them often. This skirt has been a wee bit snug, but it wasn't something I was worried about busting out of. It's actually now just about right. But that's not the NSV. After work, I went to Walmart to get a few things. While I was walking around, my underwear started working its way down. And I HATE fighting with undies that creep either way, so if the elastic is worn out, I toss them. So, picture this....here I am walking in Walmart, having to stop every 6-8 steps or so and as discreetly as possible try and adjust without people seeing and KNOWING what I'm doing. I couldn't figure out what the deal was....this pair was relatively new, so I knew it wasn't the elastic worn out or anything. Didn't think too much about it. Got home, changed out of my work clothes and into my clothes I walk in. Changed undies, too. Started doing my WATP tape and the new pair I had just put on started falling. Then it dawned on me that with the loss I've had, that particular cut isn't gonna work anymore. I'm just glad the second pair was falling while I was home doing a WATP, and it wasn't while I was out in the park walking. Anyway...I had to laugh at myself in addition to being excited, so I thought I would share with y'all.
Whoa, Rhonda!! I honestly didn't recognize your picture! You look fantastic!! I saw the pic and thought "oh, haven't seen her post before." Then I saw the user name. Way to go!!
Christy that is a priceless story - I was reading your post while eating my lunch and almost choked I was laughing so hard just picturing you in Walmart! Way to go!
Christy, I swear nothing feels better than your undies being too big and needing replaced! They're typically so stretchy that it takes forever to notice they're too big....I love that feeling! Not the droopy undies, but the new ones you slide into!
Also, Christy, thanks for the comment about Rhonda! I've been gone a couple weeks and kept thinking I didn't know her as I looked at her photo, but the screen name was familiar....now I know why! Way to go, Rhonda, you're doing fabulous!!!!
I had that happen to me last summer when I was losing weight (I lost 40 pounds, and have since then gained it back, but thats not the point)...
I'm an EMT, and on an early morning ambulance run, I was standing in the back of the rig, and I was trying to do an IV in my patient when I noticed my underwear were falling down. Thankfully I was wearing pants, and they didn't go too far, but it was kinda uncomfortable.... And my co-workers got quite a kick out of it...
