yup! I stall for up to 4 weeks, then have a whoosh of lost weight. I truly think its our bodies way of adjusting. Also, I truly believe being obese can be akin to pregnancy in some ways. It makes sense to me that we need more fluids while we're obese just as we do when pregnant. More blood, more water etc in our systems. I think the whoosh comes when we maintain that weight for a few weeks, our body releases some of those fluids and fats and goes back to losing for a few, pause, stall adjust. Rinse Repeat.
me too! my pattern seems to be i fluctuate between the same few pounds for a few weeks, then i lose 4 or so, then i fluctuate a pound up and down for a few weeks...etc...etc...
I think it is related to our cycles. I find that my *true* weight only happens like two days after my period (when levels of progesterone and estrogen are both low). Over the month the levels go up -- which I think causes the creep or stabilization. I have my woosh generally a few days after TOM ends. So you are losing it is just obscured by hormones (and the water retention it can cause).
funny thing is i have not had TOM for 23nyears due to scar tissue......
