We just had dinner with a neighbor of my parents who is a Doctor. I was obviously trying to calculate my points and talking about WW and told him of my situation.

He said you can't build muscle and lose weight at the same time.
He stated that one pound of muscle burns 24 calories so once there is enought muscle built up then you can start to lose weight again.
For every 10 lbs. of muscle you will burn 240 cal. without doing a thing -- now doesn't that sound nice. He just said that he looks at it that he can just have desert after dinner!!!
That does make sense, just wondering WHEN I will have enough to start losing again.

Just think of the atheletes that have 7 - 10% body fat and weigh 100 lbs that is 90 lbs muscle-- WOW They can burn 2000+ calories a day just sleeping.

Anyone else heard of this theory???
