Had WI today and gained back a pound. I made some bad choices yesterday and it's REALLY hot and humid here, so I know it's mostly water. I figure I just about stayed the same this week. Spooky, I have my days like that. Yesterday was one of them. I don't know why they happen but I just lose control once in awhile and HAVE to eat all the bad stuff I always crave.

I had my weigh in today and even with eating boiled peanuts, cotton candy, homemade waffles, bacon, scampi cod, coleslaw, hushpuppies, and a ton of other not so great foods, I still lost! I've been maintaining 169.8 for almost a week and it showed on the scale tonight. I'm now down 22.8lbs! I am hoping to hit my 25lbs next week!!!!!!

I'm kinda proud of myself... I roasted my first turkey!! Its something I've always been intimidated to do but it came out just like my mom's thanksgiving turkey. And that along with roasted zucchini, glazed carrots and a small bit of mashed potatos ended up being the best home cooked meal tonight. And was super low in points.

MMm that sounds good Cat! And you probably have tons of left overs too!.

This week i think i am going to make the zero point WW soup. Anyone have their own version of this soup recipe to post? I am thinking i will slow cook it.

I want to go to the dollar store and pick up some new freezer containers so i can fill them with soups and veggie stews that i make. The batches are huge but that will be very helpful when just needing something quick and healthy (and point free lol)

Merc- I don't make the Veggie soup because I hate hate hate tomatoes. But I made a 'cream' of zucchini soup a fee weeks ago that was really good and filling. I think next time I make it I'm gonna throw in some crawfish and Creole spices. That would make it really similar to the crawfish zucchini bisque at this Tunisian restaurant we like to go to.

If you are down with zucchini, I can find the recipe for ya. It wasn't 0 points but it wasn't too many.

Hmm ya, i have been eating a lot of zucchini lately, would love the recipe. I didnt realize how much i do like it! My boyfriend isnt fond of tomatoes either, but he doesnt mind the taste, hates the texture. I figure i can toss a load of veggies together and simmer it up and it will taste decent lol. Mind you, everything seems to be decent while i have been doing WW. Ive been eating and craving stuff i never even cared for before... very weird.

mercuryblue : I made a carrots pottage the other day, only carrots with veggies stock and I threw in an orange. Give a cool little taste

Jinksie : Cool new pic!

This morning was my weigh in and I'm down 3,2 lbs!!! It was the week after TOM and I always loose a lot after those ones... So it brings me to a little bit above 10% I'm so happy!

And now I'm going on camping all weekend long and I'll totally destroy the diet. Yay. LOL

So how many of you guys crashed and burned during the 4th of July weekend? I went nuts with fried chicken, brats, grammy's mayonnaise-y-but-so-good salads, cream cheese based dips w/ Wheat Thins, and of course, alcohol. Ugh. I haven't weighed in yet, but it's looking like it's going to be at least a 1 lb. gain. At this point, I would be soooo happy with just maintaining!

catahoula, that zucchini soup recipe sounds incredible! Could you post it please?

And just to illustrate just how much crap I ate, I'm -37 for my weekly points. And that's even after all of my activity points (23 earned this week) have been factored in. Oi.

Let's just say that I can't wait to start fresh on Sunday! LoL!

Im in Canada, we had Canada Day which is a similar type of holiday. I helped my parents run their Mini Donuts concession stand for 9 hours and never touched a single donut, and we were posted right next to this Grill Masters place with these awesome hotdogs, hamburgs, fries and poutines flying out of there, as well as a pizza stand beside us. I never ate any of it. I was a little proud of myself actually... as an added bonus, after ALL the heat that day, weigh in the next day i lost 6.5lbs lol.
