Congrats! Read your online materials, under "my plan" and like someone else said - just start adding foods to your tracker, it's the best way to learn. And you can tweak the serving sizes. So if a cup of rice is too much you, you can adjust it.
Each food is given a point value. The point value is based upon the grams of fat, carbs, protein and fiber in the food. Carbs and fat increase points more than protein and fiber decreases the points. In my experience (I count calories also) a point is equal to about 35 to 40 calories depending upon what is in it.
If you are strictly an online member then you don't go to a meeting. In many areas you can obtain a Monthly Pass where you can go to meetings and youhave online access.
