Default How do you do it?

My guy and I are dieting together. I am 5'7" and used to weigh 183 lbs. When I was in grad school, I dropped to 160 lbs because of a busy schedule and not eating mom's great tasting food. I then tried weight watchers. I went down to 147 lbs.

Now, I have been off of weight watchers and went back up to 160 over about 3 yrs. My body LOVES this weight! Anyway, I have been calorie counting but only lost 1 lb in 3 weeks. Keeping it between 1100 and 1300 calories. On WW, I'm allowed 22 pts. I calculated out my calories today to be 1240 but my points were 28! My guy hates vegetables. Are there any good foods that aren't many points that don't involve vegetables but taste good? I'm not a core person bc I like carbs TOO much Any suggestions? Have you guys been able to build muscle too or are you losing protein due to being undernourished? Thanks for your help.

I feel like if I dropped lower in calories... I just may DIE.

I think you're hungry because you're not getting enough volume, because of not eating vegetables. Try plain potatoes, they're filling.
You say your BF doesn't like vegetables, but you didn't say the same about you, so I'll assume you're okay with them. Try making tacos, use chicken or turkey for the meat, and let him make his with whatever, but you try a salad with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, heated spicy meat filling, and a dressing of half and half salsa and low-fat sour cream. I had a big plate of this for supper last night and it filled me up for 4 points, and I felt like I had REAL food! It's my favorite food!

its 10:24 pm, im at 19 points and full, and trust me i never ever thought id be saying this...im an emotional eater, and i eat a lot, i looove food...so like kofarq said its probably your food choices, there are great yummy foods out there low in carb...heres what ive eaten today

coffee with french vanilla creamer 2x (dont skimp on this!) (4pts)
oatmeal peaches and cream flavor (2pts)
smart ones chicken santa fe (2pts!)
weight watchers string cheese two pieces (2pts, one pt each)
cherries 1 cup (1pt)
egg beaters veggie eggs with 2 tblsp salsa (eggs were 2pts, salsa free!)

english muffin with ww cream cheese and slices of raw zucchini
(3pts, 2 for the muffin, regular not low cal muffin and 1 for the cream cheese)

2 artichokes steamed in broth with 1 tsp of low fat kraft mayonaise, and mustard for the dressing (1 pt)

weight watchers yogurt~amaretto pie (1pt)
grapes 1 cup (1pt)
jello 10 cal snack (free!)

still have some points left, might have some cottage cheese (1pt) and a 100 calorie pack (2pts)

artichokes are yummy, so is zucchini and eggplant...if u hate veggies these are great bc they usually taste like what u put them into...
u can try eggplant sliced and fried on cooking spray then topped with marinara or pasta sauce sprinkled with parmesan cheese with a half cup of whole wheat pasta (eggplant parmagian)
also, there are many recipes for zucchini pasta, u substitute pasta for zucchini sliced like pasta, tastes alsmost the same...also yams are great...slice em like fries, lightly spray with cooking spray add nutmeg and cinnamon and bake, they r yummy!

you have to try and experiment a lil...theres also a great book out for kids, how to make ur kids eat veggies, ways of hiding veggies into their meal, might be helpful... http://www.amazon.com/Sneaky-Chef-St...7904033&sr=8-1 you can purchase it for 6bucks i saw, used....

good luck to u! u can learn to make veggies ROCK!

If you aren't getting the 8 healthy guidelines in you aren't doing WW. You have too many snack foods. Not only are there few vegetables, there isn't any healthy fats, not enough dairy or protein. If you want to lose, the menus going to have to be modified. We regain when we don't learn new eating habits to support our new weight.

My favorite low point snack and it's on core is 94% fat free Popcorn!!! Yummy!

I also love Boca Burgers, Fruits, and WW english muffins (1 point per muffin!)
