would someone like a copy of a weight loss surgery cookbook?
I'm thinning out my bookshelves and have one copy of Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery by Patt Levine that I don't need and would like to know if anyone here would like it. I can't vouch for the recipes, but they look good
If interested, please reply here to let me know, then send me a PM with your address. US address only, please
Suzanne I just read the reviews on amazon and it sounds really interesting. that being said if anyone whos had the surgery more recently wants it thats fine by me!
Hi....I had GB on August 4th and I need a cookbook! I have not been able to find one in any of my local bookstores. If it is ok with you...I would definitely love it.
Thank you so much. It has been a rough few months. I became sick for about a month and a half all because of a kidney stone which doctors say started because of protein shakes. (geez) That then became infected...which caused me to become dehydrated (couldnt keep anything down) which landed me in the hospital.
Anyways...I am better now...thankfully...and looking forward to the future.
I have the cookbook and do like it. Cheryl, I hearing from more and more of my WLS friends about kidney stones and high protein use. Drink, drink, drink, and this is a lesson to me also. My WLS support leader hasn't had any WLS related problems except kidney stones and man she has suffered. Her doctor told her to drink lots of water with lemon in it to help break up the stones. Of course, I know quite a few non-WLS people who have had kidney stones and live on caffeine sodas and coffee. I'm sorry you have had it so rough......here's hoping from here on out it will be smooth sailing!
I know I know...I am still trying to master drinking and eating. It is hard...if I drink a lot during the day then I am simply not hungry...then I feel like I force myself to eat which of course makes me sick...my Nut said it will get easier in time...I sure hope it does!
