My opinion only but I don't
love the food at all-inclusives but love all-inclusive resorts because I never have to take out my wallet and don't have to leave the property. It tastes acceptable but nothing to rave about like here in Chicago.
I go away for the ocean, weather, and scenery. I had the time of my life; I did a ton of walking/swimming, and lost several pounds while there. The resort was HUGE. I ate because I had to and not for sport so it was a win win.
I stick with light beer and simple mixed drinks. I don't do the thick, creamy stuff so that helps too. Also when it's 80-90 degrees I don't have much of an appetite.
I guess all I can say is be mindful a bit and do a lot of walking. No point in stressing about it.
