Default NEW...introducing myself

Hi All! Introducing myself!

I'm 40 with 3 kids and have 20 pounds I'd like to shed this year. I am 6 pounds from a healthy BMI. I started in early December and progress was slow as I expected but I did lose 4 lbs even with all the treats.

The plan I'm following:

*Three meals and no snacking. I learn how much to eat so that I'm comfortably hungry by the next meal.
*No sweets during the week.
*more relaxed on the weekend. Have some sweet treats. Still try to stick to no snacking but have some desserts with meals.
*2-3 fitnessblender workouts per week.
*eat what is enjoyable to me but eat a couple servings fruits and veggies with each meal.

Looking forward to getting to know you guys!

Welcome, ThinHabits.

Congratulations on your progress so far, that's great! I started out in 2013 about 12 pounds overweight and followed a plan pretty similar to yours. Best of luck with your efforts, they sound very reasonable and sustainable.

Welcome! It's gutsy of you to have started in December and impressive that you were able to lose weight that month.

Thanks everyone! I needed to start in December to keep myself in check. Still got to have some sweets on the weekends!

Welcome and hope the weight loss goes well for you

My target weight in the long run is to be 129 pounds and I started at 229 pounds. I also recently had my daughter and have managed not to get that off track through pregnancy and I am just 4 pounds heavier than I was before pregnancy so not too concerned.

Will be my target to get to the end goal for mid june so I am kick starting mine with lots of fat burning foods and then having treat days. I have my birthday and wedding anniversary this month so I will have meals out on those dates.
