Default Getting Bored & Food is causing Nausea

Help! I'm down to 201. I've lost a total of 44 pounds, but Chicken and Tilapia are making me nauseous. What else can I try? I usually do a salad or brown rice with a side of greens, but the chicken and the tilapia are starting to make me nauseous. Does anyone know what I can do?

Beef, lamb, pork, shrimp, canned tuna, bacon, turkey, salmon. Maybe switch stores or brands. Get a cookbook and mix it up! Try new recipes.

That sounds very boring!

Eat what you like, just prepare it smarter. I cosign browsing cookbooks. Have you checked out www.skinnytaste.com, www.cookinglight.com, www.eatingwell.com?

If you're not sure how to tweak your own recipes, you can just do a search for any meal you like on those websites.

Definitely change it up a bit. Eating the same stuff all the time can stall your weight loss, besides the effects you've already mentioned.

I make chili with lean ground beef or turkey, I use black beans, white or pinto beans and chickpeas, I don't use as much meat as I used to, enjoy the flavored of the tomatoes, beans and spices.

I have to check out those sites Munchy recommended. I like soups, too, you can make yourself some hearty soups and stews.

There are recipe threads on here too you can check out.

Best of luck to you and great job so far!!

No kidding! I'm impressed you kept that up long enough to lose over 40 lbs.

I pretty much cut grains and starches out of my diet, except for occasional treats. So I basically plan all my meals on the equation protein+produce. Egg with tomatoes. Salad with shrimps on it. Bacon and avocado. Almonds and a piece of fruit. Salmon and asparagus. Goat cheese with apricot (totes yummy with a drizzle of honey, makes lovely desserts). As long as I stick to that basic equation, it's simple and the combinations are almost limitless. I never feel deprived, and the simplicity makes it easy to adjust how many calories I take per meal.
About once per week I roast a big piece of meat in the crock pot and use the meat for everything. Tomorrow I'm going to take a free-range, hormone free pork roast from my local butcher shop and roast it in the crock pot with salsa verde. That will become meat for stuffed poblano peppers and taco salad for my fiance and I for the next few days. Easy peasy and delicious.
