Such a good point! I try to be kind to myself also.

Welcome Tyla!

My kitchen is now closed!

Exercise: 3.13 mile run, and new (recent) personal best time!

Breakfast: oatmeal with fresh peach and cinnamon.

Lunch: ginormous black bean burrito with a boatload of veg, little bit of guac, generous squirts of sriracha.

Dinner: Cannellini beans in garlic; 2 ezekiel toast, vegenaise, thick tomato slices, and black pepper; a lovely cold orange.

This holiday weekend was a disaster! I've eaten at maintenance for the past three days with little to no exercise. My biggest diet obstacle is being around friends/family and food; I think I get stressed out so instead of talking, I just eat ... the whole time

Did good today though so I'm back on track.

today's weight: 134.4
yesterday's calories: 2,500
yesterday's exercise: n/a

Hi, everyone. Nothing too exciting to report, but here goes... All in all, a good but boring day. I shouldn't have had the ice cream sandwich, but I'm over it
  • B steel cut oats with unsweetened apple butter mixed in, cappuccino
  • L salad of lettuce, tomato, hard boiled egg, pepper jack cheese, olive oil & balsmic; peach; mediterranean crackers
  • S wasabi peas mixed with dried (no-sugar-added) cherries
  • S ice cream sandwich
  • D 2 grilled lamb loin chops; grilled eggplant with tomato slice and garlic; cherry-apple whole wheat bread
  • Exercise 25 min on elliptical, high intensity

I get it at a local farm stand... So maybe if you have any farm stands near you that carry jams and jellies, you may be able to find something similar.

Have you ever tried pumpkin butter? On my menu I put jam, but it's actually pumpkin butter. It doesn't have as much sugar as jams or jellies so it's lower in calories. I just ordered me some cherry butter. It is suppose to be really good for you and helps with inflammation. We'll see how I like that one. But the pumpkin butter is definitely the bomb! I like to use it with some ricotta cheese and cinnamon toast. If I think really hard, it reminds me of a pumpkin cheese cake! I am just saying!

A 1.4 lbs drop this morning! I whooshed to a new low of 146.2 lbs.

I ate well including a treat of real crab salad for lunch prepared by yours truly. The vinaigrette was a new recipe : lemon Greek dressing. I love it.

I had six hours in a row of classes or meetings with a 30 minutes break for lunch. I left at seven PM with a bag for of copies to grade. I am too tired to do it, so here's hoping tomorrow morning finds me fresh and productive early.

I am booked solid again tomorrow.

Exercise was walking back and forth my class and to and from the College. I am wishing everyone a nighty night and a good day tomorrow.

Fruit butters are delish. I love "compotes" too, although I don't know how you call them in English.

I have just bought tons of stuff from Jake and Amos to add to my salads.

They sell unsweetened apple butter. I do not think it is for me though...

It definitely wouldn't go on your salad, but it would be great on your morning toast -- yum! I cruised around their site a bit; the jalapeno eggs look intriguing!

I had a bad day today. The bf and I broke up, plus I feel like I have a cold starting. I've already turned to food. The damage isn't so bad yet, but I'm feeling the urge to have more.

B: frozen meal (280)
L: almonds and some healthy sesame grain snack thing. coffee with milk. (360)
D: homemade reuben, chocolate grahams, skinny cow ice cream sandwich (1000)
Cals: 1640
Exercise: will probably make it a rest day

Ian Wow! You've developed as a runner remarkably quickly. That's inspiring. Maybe I will exercise today...
Matisse Congrats on your whoosh!
newleaf Mmm, I love lamb.
Diana I've never had pumpkin butter, but now I can't wait to try it.
