Default Struggling but doing it

I have had such a hard time staying on plan but have done it the last four days. Have dived into MFP which just sat there unused before. Today I only had 400 cals left at 3:30 pm after a big lunch out. I had soup and salad but still hit 800 cals on the meal! So it was a struggle for the rest of the day but I did it. I'm not posting this to say "I'm so great." but more just to get myself through the last few hours of the day without eating. Im having cravings even now at 11pm. I feel like I'm working out mentally right now. Oof.

Good for you!!!! That is awesome. Salads can become very unhealthy very quickly. One thing I do is to always have my dressing on the side and dip my fork in the dressing before getting a bite of salad. Depending on the plan you are using crushed up wheat thins work great on a salad instead of croutons.

Good for not giving up. Perhaps going out for some exercise can help you burn some calories and you can get some extra calories

Whenever I get cravings at night I think to myself "Do I want to wake up tomorrow feeling great about myself because I know I'm one step closer to my goal or do I want to feel disappointed that I gave in to my cravings and set me back one day?"

I always choose the first one, even though it is soooo difficult sometimes!

You're doing great, keep going!

Good for you for sticking to it!!! If I'm having any cravings and hunger at 10pm, I head to bed and go to sleep. Keeps me from eating over and I get much needed rest!!!

I like the post about thinking whether you want to wake feeling great because you are closer to goal or wake feeling bad because you gave in. That puts things is a great perspective.

Keep logging and keep at it!! You got this!

I try not to eat past 9pm, but sometimes my schedule is screwy and I need something to eat at that time.

However, if I'm already past my calories, I'll just drink water or hot tea and/or head to bed.
